Impotence - a blow below the belt

Essentially, erectile dysfunction is an inability to achieve or maintain an erection. Erectile dysfunction or, in other words, impotence, can appear in men of any age. Alas, but impotence spares no one - neither young nor elderly. According to statistics, about 52 percent of all diagnosed cases of this sexual disorder occur at ages from forty to seventy years.

To start treatment of erectile dysfunction, you first need to understand its causes, and to identify the factor that caused the ailment. These are not empty words, because erectile dysfunction is not always a problem, as they say, "in the body." Yes, in about four cases out of five impotence is caused by organic causes, for example, cardiovascular or endocrine diseases. This form is called "organic impotence." However, in the remaining 1 out of 5 cases, the root of erectile dysfunction lies in one or another psychogenic disorder, and this is "psychological impotence".

Organic impotence begins gradually and is characterized by the absence of nocturnal and morning spontaneous erections. At the same time, libido and ejaculation remain normal. Psychological impotence happens suddenly and later arises under strictly defined circumstances. At the same time, night and morning spontaneous erections persist. It is clear that in either case, the man does not become easier. Impotence strikes not only on the health of a man, but also on his self-esteem, not to mention relationships and so on. Many men are frankly ashamed of erectile dysfunction and, unfortunately, do not rush to seek treatment for specialists, hoping for a sudden, unexpected and accidental cure, while missing the precious time needed for treatment. Yes there is treatment for impotence - many do not even know what the prevention of impotence!

And after all preventive measures will not damage neither at that, nor at other form of an impotency. One of the most effective and, at the same time, simple preventive measures is ... rational organization of the daily routine, that is, the most optimal alternation of rest and work for a person. And for the correct operation of all body systems it is very important to alternate periods of exercise with rest periods. In this regard, a healthy dream is especially important, since it is with its help that a complete rest of the brain, nervous system and muscles is achieved. If you do not chronically sleep, sooner or later you will have to face the consequences of lack of sleep, namely, the exhaustion of the nervous system and the undermining of health in general, which, without doubt, will immediately affect the potency. It is believed that for a healthy sleep it is best to lie down until midnight. In addition, walking in the fresh air before going to bed is also considered useful. If we talk about physical exercises that have a beneficial effect on the potency, it is appropriate to mention the following: walking with a high knee lift, running in place, sit-ups and tension and relaxation of intimate muscles.

However, there are many other causes that also cause problems with potency. As causes of impotence, one could mention such diseases as diabetes and inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system, as well as hormonal disorders and changes in the vessels of the genital organs. In addition, their negative role is played by depression, stress, taking certain medications, surgery on pelvic organs and trauma to the penis.
