How to temper a child: recommendations for parents

It's no secret that hardening is very useful for health. The organism of the tempered child is better tolerated by sharp temperature changes, drafts and drenched legs. However, many parents refuse to strengthen the procedures, believing that to do this, it is necessary to pour cold water on the crumbs and run barefoot in the snow. And some, on the contrary, simply do not know how to temper the child.

Hardening - a set of health procedures that contribute to strengthening immunity. As a result, the child's body becomes more resistant to the adverse effects of various environmental factors. At the heart of such useful procedures is the systematic training of the organism by influencing on it the same factors or their complex. Knowing how to temper the child correctly, you can very quickly achieve positive results. Regular strengthening procedures contribute to the gradual rearrangement of thermoregulation processes, so that the baby's organism adapts faster to changes in the environment without harm to health.

How to begin to temper the child?

First of all, parents need to try to ensure that the family has a benevolent, calm atmosphere. Because quarrels and scandals in the presence of a child injure his fragile psyche, it can lead to neuroses. And this significantly weakens the defenses of the body. Equally important is the daily routine. If you do not comply with the regime (allow not to sleep during the day, and play late in the evening, to replace the outdoor exercise with games in the room, to overfeed with sweets), then the functions of all organs and systems of the child's organism cease to function properly. And this inevitably weakens the immune system.

Most parents are wondering when to begin to strengthen the body, and not just how to temper a child. 1 year, 4-5 years and even 6-7 years is the age when you can still have a lot of time. Of course, those children, whom parents hardened from birth, have strong immunity and are able to withstand various colds. However, age is not the main thing, the main thing here is regularity. Procedures that strengthen immunity should become as natural a process as sleep, food, walks.

How to temper a child: basic recommendations

  1. Hardening can begin regardless of the time of year.

  2. A positive effect can only be achieved through systematic studies. Without constant adherence to the regime, the results that have already been received are reduced.

  3. It is unacceptable to dramatically increase the duration and intensity of procedures, since hypothermia can only harm the child's body.

  4. If the child is sick, it is possible to start the hardening procedures only after full recovery.

  5. Most importantly: all procedures should bring only positive emotions to the child .

The approximate schedule of procedures:

  • After waking up - air baths for 15 minutes, 7 minutes of them - gymnastics;

  • After - washing to the waist with water 16-17 degrees, if you just start tempering - 27 degrees;

  • Before and after the morning wash - rinse the throat with water: it is recommended to start from 36-33 degrees, decreasing by 1 degree every 5 days, bringing the water temperature to 18-16 degrees.

The best time for sunbathing is 8-11 am, and the duration of sun exposure is 30 minutes. For a seasoned child, washing with water can be replaced with a cool shower. After a day's sleep, contrasting foot baths are useful , they can also be replaced by dousing. At first, the water temperature should be 28 degrees, then gradually (reducing every 4 days) it should be brought to 16 degrees.

Favorable time for hardening procedures - morning and afternoon hours. During this period, the reactions of adaptation to temperature fluctuations develop better in children.

Systematic, gradual and cautious are the main principles that will help both to temper the child and to regulate his regime of the day.
