How to observe a diet with duodenal ulcer

Everyone knows that water and food are important "energy materials" for the human body. But sometimes we stop eating properly, start to adhere to a variety of diets, and even completely eliminate animal food from the diet, turning to vegetable food. It also happens that we turn off the mind and stuff our stomach with "harmful" products: carcinogens, dyes, preservatives and other substances that are far from useful. Our stomach suffers from our weakness, which can be susceptible to various diseases - gastritis, allergies, peptic ulcers and other misfortunes.

If there was a trouble - you were diagnosed with a stomach trouble, then during the entire treatment, a strict diet should be observed. With a duodenal ulcer, the healing process must be carried out with a properly formulated diet so that the "restorative work" in the body is carried out as quickly as possible.

Ulcer on the walls of the duodenum appears as a result of the action of pepsin (globular protein) and acids, from which the duodenal mucosa transforms and loses its integrity. Also, the cause may be hiding in the infection of a human with Helicobacter pylori. Peptic ulcer disease can also develop with alcohol, smoking and malnutrition. Symptoms can not be overlooked, they are manifested as follows:

- begins to periodically appear abdominal pain (usually in the upper part);

- there is a feeling of bloating, nausea, eructation and flatulence;

- If there is no treatment, vomiting with blood may begin .

Blood can be contained in the stool of the patient. All this is a signal about the beginning of internal bleeding.

Diet with duodenal ulcer consists in serious compliance with the following conditions:

- dishes should contain the necessary for the body amount of minerals, vitamins (especially vitamins B, vitamin A and C), carbohydrates, fats and proteins;

- food should not be too greasy, spicy, salty. Such a condition is mandatory for menus with duodenal ulcer, in order to avoid irritating effects on the gastric mucosa;

- You need to eat often, but in small portions, the maximum break is 4 hours;

- the use of too hot or cold food is excluded;

- It is better to eat hard food in grated form.

Remember that compliance with all conditions will speed up your recovery, so you should not be frightened by such a strict diet. With duodenal ulcer, include the following foods in your diet:

- dishes from fish (you can eat boiled river fish - perch, pike perch, pike, the main thing is that the fish is lean);

- dishes made from meat (veal, chicken, beef, which can be eaten as cutlets, rolls or other dishes);

- Soups (dairy, from cereals, vegetable, chicken, fish);

- bakery products;

- eggs (omelet, soft-boiled);

- vegetables (pumpkin, carrots, beets, potatoes, zucchini);

- Pasta and cereals (oatmeal, buckwheat, pearl barley, rice);

- a liquid (mineral water without gas, broth of a dogrose, juices);

- sweet dishes (compote, jelly, cream, kissel);

- berries;

- fats (animal fats, vegetable and butter).

Diet with ulcer of the duodenum excludes from the diet such products:

- canned food;

- alcoholic beverages;

- dishes from meat and fish of fatty varieties;

- fried, salty and spicy dishes;

- mushroom soup;

- dough, pies, rye bread;

- ice cream;

- Pork, beef lard, mutton fat;

- sausages.

Do not confuse the ulcer with erosion of the stomach and duodenum. With erosion lesions remain on the border of the muscle tissue, in contrast to the ulcers that go beyond these boundaries. Erosion does not leave scars on the walls of the stomach, and heals without a trace. Diet in the erosion of the duodenum is observed according to a similar list of foods that with an ulcer.
