The last step is drawing the leaves. Color them can be discussed with the child in advance. A stiff bristle brush is used for the leaves. We draw on it the paint of the desired color, put the brush vertically to the surface of the sheet and make a sharp blotting movement. The paint should be thick enough, do not pour a lot of water into the gouache.

If you decide to paint a birch in the autumn, before applying a different color, dry the pattern again. Again, select a different color for the brush, for example, orange, and draw the leaves, leaving room for the leaves of another color.

When the drawing is ready, admire the work, evaluate it and praise the child. If the baby is not tired yet, suggest painting a sun or clouds in the sky, leaves or flowers on the ground. Let the child show his imagination.
