How to bend drywall for a false ceiling. Its installation

What is drywall? This is a layer of gypsum, which with the help of special equipment was sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard. The cost of drywall sheets is very low in comparison with other materials for finishing works, and the composition is environmentally friendly. All this makes the choice of such a material very attractive.

Drywall is used for interior finishing works. Basically, with its help, you can finish the ceiling or walls, creating the necessary multi-level construction.

There are two main types of drywall:

- Moisture-proof, usually used in bathroom, toilet or kitchen;

- the usual, used to create structures in rooms with low humidity (living room, bedroom, corridor), as well as in office buildings.

How to bend drywall? This issue is of concern to many newcomers. It's not very difficult, you just have to try it once. It is necessary to mark the line with a ruler on the spot where it is required to bend the plasterboard, cut the cardboard with a knife on one side , and on the other side tap on this place, which will lead to the fold. The fold will be held on the second sheet of cardboard. This method helps to create designs without violating the integrity of the sheets.

Suspended plasterboard is a material for the assembly of the ceiling. Naturally, it does not "hang" in the air. It is attached with a frame method - using wooden beams or a metal profile, which is pre-fastened to the ceiling using dowels.

With this method, you can create a design with several levels. At the same time, a rather complex pattern is created, which is illuminated by LED illumination. The advantages are that installation is an uncomplicated business, even a beginner can master it.

Another important factor in favor of installing such structures is the increase of sound insulation. And also emphasizes the interior design of the room.

Among other things, with the help of a suspended gypsum board it is possible to level the ceiling, which greatly simplifies the given task, making it not so costly.

Drywall is of different thicknesses - 9.5 mm and 12 mm, while they bend equally, so that, knowing how to bend a 9 mm drywall , you can bend and twelve-millimeter.

The width of sheets of gypsum cardboard is standard - 1,2 meters, but the length can be different - 2 or 4 meters.

How to bend plasterboard when assembling the ceiling? Naturally, you should not do this after you have fixed a sheet of drywall on the ceiling. In the beginning it is necessary to carry out all the measurements, mark the fold lines and bend the sheet of plasterboard, and only then perform the fastening. Of course, you will need help, because at the same time keep and fix the drywall is not realistic.

Drywall. Installation

First of all, before you bend the drywall and start assembling any structures, you need to determine the size of the object. It is necessary to calculate how many sheets you may need to keep work unfinished due to a lack of material. A superfluous sheet can always be used for additional construction.

Many newcomers do not take into account such a moment as the presence in the design of lighting or additional items. Provided that the structure is illuminated, it is necessary to take into account the additional distance for carrying out the necessary wiring. Therefore, the distance to the wall or ceiling must be at least 5-10 cm.

When leveling the curvature of the walls or ceiling, you must first find the lowest corner and already from it to measure, only so you can achieve a complete correction of the defect of the walls and ceilings.

For marking it is recommended to use the hydraulic level, it is better to use the water level, since the laser produces a small error.
