How is crime prevention done in school?

Being exposed to different stressful situations every day, children and adolescents are not always able to resist them due to subjective reasons, as a result of which negative consequences may appear. So, very often it is about the narcotization of schoolchildren and the associated increase in the number of crimes. Many situations are easier to prevent than to deal with the consequences later, therefore the prevention of offenses in educational institutions is one of the important aspects of the activity of teachers.

It is the teachers who contribute to the education of a person with an active life position, who knows how to say "no" if necessary and clearly argue their opinion. To do this, a variety of work is carried out, covering various aspects of the educational process. In this activity should participate not only class teachers, but also other pedagogical workers: psychologist, subject teachers, head teacher for BP, etc. Only by joint efforts it is possible to get a positive result.

It is necessary to note the factors that negatively affect the development and upbringing of the personality of adolescents and children, as a result of which juvenile offenses are committed. These include the processes that are currently taking place in society. Among them, the relative availability of tobacco and alcohol, the propaganda of violence and cruelty in the media, obvious and hidden unemployment, the imperfection of law enforcement agencies. The situation in the family (composition, socio-cultural level of parents, financial position, style of upbringing, etc.) influences the formation of the child's personality .

Prevention of violations in the school should be conducted regularly and systematically. For this purpose an annual plan of activities on this topic is drawn up , responsible persons are appointed.

In this activity a huge role is assigned to working with the family. For this purpose, the employees of the educational institution (social teacher, class teacher) are studying the socio-psychological status of the family. After conducting various diagnostics and questioning, the results are analyzed, summarized, a list of children from the "risk group", disadvantaged or low-income children is drawn up, etc. Also, conclusions are made about what topics of parents' meetings and similar events will be of interest to adults, what exactly they want and expect from joint activities with the school.

One of the most common forms of working with students is a class hour. Prevention of violations is carried out in this lesson, moreover, with the right organization, it is quite effective. With children it is necessary to conduct various conversations, competitions, game programs, the purpose of which is to increase the legal culture of pupils. Subjects can be different, for example, for junior schoolchildren - "Know your rights", "What is bad", etc., for adolescents - "Responsibility for their mistakes", "Theft - a misdemeanor or an offense?" And others.

Prevention of crime is closely linked to work to prevent drug abuse. Round tables, conversations, quizzes, school press conferences on the "Antinarco" program are effective activities and prevention of crimes among adolescents. It is also necessary to take care of extra-hour employment of children, which is facilitated by the introduction of new GEFs. In no case can you leave a teenager alone with yourself in a difficult situation for him. Very often it is teachers who can help, help solve a problem, even if they have to use other services (social protection, etc.). And, perhaps, this will help the child not to get off the right track.

Prevention of offenses should be carried out systematically by all employees of the educational process, because only in this way it is possible to obtain a qualitative result of this activity.
