The main stages of work

Our goal is to make a robot suit. The first thing we do is to make a head. At a small cardboard box we cut off those parts which will not be needed during the work. We need to get a die with one missing side.

The main thing is that they are not too small. Otherwise, the outfit will be inconvenient. Then the resulting hole is cut out. We take the foil and paste it with a piece. Then think about how you can decorate the front. Perhaps you decide to place buttons and levers on it. Worry about their symmetrical arrangement is not worth it: after all, robots do not necessarily exactly resemble each other.

What kind of robot without an antenna?

We continue to make a robot costume for a boy. This character has antennas on his head. To make them, pierce a pair of holes with an awl. Be careful: this should be the upper part of the head. The distance between the holes should be about three to four centimeters. We bend the wire in such a way that the resulting antennas are of the same size, and the gap between them is equal to the distance between the holes. After the wire is inserted, take the scotch tape and attach the antenna to the inside of the head. To cover the holes from above, a gray clay is suitable.

To the whiskers of the details are attached the tips. To make them, you need a foam rubber sponge. They are cut in shape, greased with available glue and placed on a wire.

Torso manufacturing

Remember, you were stocking up two boxes? It was the turn of the second of them, since further we are mastering the trunk. As with the production of the "head", we cut off the unnecessary parts in the box. As a result, we must get a box of decent cardboard. The lower edge of it should be absent. Take care of the hole for the head. To do this, in the upper part, we will mark the boundaries and cut out a circular hole. The size of the circle should be made such that the head can pass freely, but at the same time, the box should not fall off the shoulders either.

Look at that robot suit that you have. Are you satisfied with everything? If yes, then you can continue the work and start to cut out the holes for the hands. They can be round in shape and located near the top of the trunk. But there is one more option: to cut wide enough slots, which would begin closer to the bottom of the lateral boundaries. Then you need foil for gluing the trunk.

When preparing a robot suit for a boy, the front side of the trunk can be made using a box of candy. The main thing is that she had thick walls and a hinged lid. Well, if it matches the size of the baby's chest. Under the finished panel, you can put disks, devices, attach a light bulb, which is activated by pressing. Then, when you open the box, you get the sheer illusion that the real interior of a fantastic character appears before your eyes.

We will improve the outfit

In general, the robot's New Year's suit is ready. But nothing prevents your imagination from improving it and supplementing it with other details. For example, by feet. Here, without the old sneakers, slippers or shoes without lacing is indispensable. That is, it should be shoes with which you do not have to suffer, lacing it or buttoning it. You will also need two narrow and long boxes. Usually they are closed on a narrow and long side. It is sealed, and both sides of a smaller size are cut off. We paste the resulting part with foil. And to the bottom of our limbs we sew shoes. All, we go to have fun from the heart.

Important Add-ons

The size of the boxes should be the same. Their shape is not important, but to make the top of the robot suit, a box in the shape of a cube is preferable. The foil is better for cooking, on a roll. If you do not find one, you can use the usual one with a paper base. You can replace the foil with a shiny gray cloth.
