Heart rupture: how dangerous is it?

According to statistics, one in five out of a hundred patients had this complication. In addition, according to the degree of severity, he is considered third on the list of the most dangerous ailments.

Conventionally, the rupture of the heart can be divided into two main types: external and internal. Under the first is understood the tearing of the external tissues of the heart muscle, which is fraught with bleeding into the pericardium. The internal rupture is established when the papillary muscle or interventricular septum is damaged. In practice, there are many cases of external ruptures and much less often - internal, especially if it is associated with damage to the papillary muscle. This pattern is explained by the frequency of diagnosis of anterior infarction, which is considered the cause of the external rupture.

In order to understand this type of complications, it is necessary to understand what a myocardial infarction is. So, it occurs as a result of death of any of the cardiac muscles, usually the cause of the disease is a thrombus, which created a blockage of blood circulation in the vascular system. Myocardial infarction in the initial stages can be asymptomatic, and can immediately show up in the form of a severe deterioration in well-being. In each case, it manifests itself in different ways.

The main symptoms of a heart attack include pain in the chest area of a strong character, sometimes even in the jaw or back. A person can vomit, he becomes pale, there is excessive sweating, frequent breathing, weak pulse. It is almost impossible to work in this state.

A heart rupture often happens if the patient has already suffered several heart attacks before that. It should be noted that the risk group includes exactly the female half of humanity, as well as people in the age group of 50 years. However, in recent times, such an ailment is also increasingly happening with young people. This is due to the fact that they are unaware of the presence of a heart attack and especially complications of this kind. Usually, poor health is written off for fatigue and workload at work or at the university. It is necessary to carefully monitor your health in order to prevent such terrible consequences.

Experts have not yet come to a consensus on what causes a break in the heart. At the moment, we can say that none of the versions explaining the cause of the disease, no evidence, and therefore officially considered unreasonable or simply conjecture. And remember: the sooner you seek help from a doctor, the more likely you are to endure the disease without serious problems.

If the doctor suspects a heart rupture, an immediate examination should be conducted. Usually, the external rupture is characterized by the presence of noise, which is intensified when listening in the chest and between the shoulder blades. In some cases heart failure is a symptom . Internal damage to the muscle, called the papillary muscle, can also be detected during a primary examination with pronounced noise in the heart area. Unfortunately, always the gap is accompanied by heart failure, which means that the patient has only a few days of life.

No one is immune from the development of this terrible disease and an even more dangerous complication.
