History and future plans

The success of the first two oasis ships inspired the Royal Caribbean cruises to order a third ship of this type in December 2012. "Harmony of the seas" was first launched on June 19, 2015, since then, its first sea trials began. May 15, 2016 the ship sailed from France to its first destination - Southampton (England). In late October 2016, the ship will cross the Atlantic in the direction of the US and arrive in the port of Everglades (Florida) as early as the beginning of November.

"Harmony of the Seas" has two 4-story 16-cylinder engines that, at full capacity, would burn about 66,000 gallons of diesel a day.
