origin of name

The emergence of the group "Spleen" happened in St. Petersburg in May 1994.

First album

A couple of years later, the soloist of the group "Spleen" leaves his studies and leaves to serve in the army. Returning from the service, Vasiliev enters the Economics Department at the Theatrical Institute. As you know, in the nineties there were many problems in the country. They also touched on the group "Spleen", whose soloist was forced to study and work simultaneously. Despite the hard times, Vasilyev still wanted to organize a rock band, and he did it. May 27, 1994 he, Alexander Morozov and Nikolai Rostovsky released their first recorded album, which was called "Dusty Byel". During the celebration of this event the guys got acquainted with Stas Berezovsky, the guitarist.

The debut album justified the expectations of rockers: audiocassettes with its record sold more than 10 000 pieces. In all the institutions and radio stations of the country, the songs of the group "Spleen" sounded, the soloist of which became popular.

Since that time, new stars have been invited to perform at various clubs in St. Petersburg, while the musicians have been working on the creation of the next album.

Subsequent work

The next collection of works of the group was the "Collector of Weapons". Simultaneously with this album in 1996, the rockers shot the video "Be My Shadow".

The end of the nineties for the group "Spleen", the soloist and the rest of whose members worked diligently on their songs, turned out to be quite successful and full. The guys have released during this time not one album. In 1997, "Lantern under the eye" was published, a year later the listeners were delighted with the "Pomegranate album", and a year later "Spleen" presents the album "Altavista" for the fans.

Popularity

It was in those years that the "Spleen" group was gaining its greatest popularity. The soloist, whose biography embellished with the success received by the group, together with his colleagues toured the whole country and abroad. In 1999, the band was invited to a club concert in New York. The year before, the rockers performed at the stadium in Luzhniki before the performance of the legendary The Rolling Stones.

It was in 1997 that the rapid success of the "Spleen" group began when it was snapped up. The guys were invited to all clubs in Moscow and the Northern capital. Released that year, the song "Orbit without sugar" is familiar to many, and in those years it was humming literally every second resident of the country.

New millennium

The beginning of this century for the group was also positive. In 2001, "Spleen" released the next collection "25 frames", recorded with the famous rock band "Bi-2" a joint song "Fellini", with which it embarks on a Russian tour. Over the next seven or eight years, "Spleen" produces four more albums, among them "Signal from Space", "Reversive Chronicle of Events", "New People" and "Split Personality".

During the creation of these collections about the group "Spleen" there were various rumors until it disintegrated. This was due to the fact that the composition of the team "Spleen" then changed quite often, but this did not stop the musicians from continuing their active tours around their native country, as well as abroad, including in the CIS and the United States.

From 2009 to 2011 the group "died down". New collections and new songs did not come out. However, in 2012, "splenes" pleased their fans by releasing "Obman Vision".
