Frying pans are made of cast iron, an aluminum alloy with non-stick coating of various types. Non-stick coating has all its inherent advantages and disadvantages: it is easy to wash dishes, it has a low weight and the products do not stick to it, but it can not be overheated and scratched.

The most practical in this regard is a cast-iron grill pan, but it also has drawbacks: a large weight, a long time required for heating (10-15 minutes). But with proper care it is very durable and reliable.

When choosing a grill pan, pay attention to the bottom. For an electric stove you need to buy a frying pan, whose diameter is not less than the diameter of the burner, you can use any gas stove. If you have a glass ceramic plate, the bottom of the pan should be flat, for the induction bottom you should choose steel. On the product label, manufacturers often indicate which plates are used for a grill pan.

In order for the dishes to be comfortable to use, pay attention to the handle. Convenient products with handles of silicone, heat-resistant plastic or wood.
