Green-green mushroom

Zelenukha is a fungus, scientifically called green and belongs to the genus Tricholoma. In the people it is also called green or green. This macromycete was named for its characteristic color. And it persists even after cooking, and the green color becomes even more saturated. Zelenukha is a fungus that does not have poisonous twins, which makes it "safe" for it. It is edible (fourth category).

An interesting feature is that this macromycete is considered to be the last one in the season. It can still be collected when all other mushrooms have already "moved away." The big plus is that there is never a wormy green mushroom. You can see his photo in this article. The downside of this macromycete is that its surface is usually heavily contaminated with rubbish and adhered sand. Many mushroom pickers therefore do not take the legs of the green rowing people, since it is extremely difficult to clean them.

Description

Zelenukha is a fungus, which at a young age has a convex head, then it becomes flat-prostrate with a small tubercle in the center. Its color varies from greenish-gray to brown-yellow or olive-yellow. The cap is radial-fibrous, often in the center finely scaly, sticky and mucous. It is because of the latter characteristics strongly attracts to itself particles of soil and green sorrel. A photo of a mushroom covered with forest trash can be seen in this article. The edges of the cap at the mushroom are down and wavy. Its diameter is up to 10 cm. The plates of the macromycete are notchy, accreted, frequent, broad, yellowish-green or lemon-yellow. Leg is solid, cylindrical, longitudinally fibrous, finely scaly or smooth. Its thickness is 1-2 cm. The spore powder is white. The pulp is yellowish or light, with a floury aroma and pleasant taste.

Habitat

Zelenukha is a fungus that forms mycorrhiza with pine. This determines the place where it should be sought. It grows on sandy soils in mixed and coniferous forests with the presence of pine. As a rule, the macromycete is buried under the needles or immersed in the soil. There is a green guy, both singly and in large communities. When the fruit body of the fungus develops completely in the soil, only the hat is seen from the fallen needles or moss. Because of this, inexperienced "quiet hunters" often pass by, completely oblivious to the greens. This macromycete likes dry burs with a litter overgrown with lichens and mosses. The first specimens begin to fall in late August. However, mass fruiting begins in mid-September and lasts until mid-December. Zelenushku collect until the most frost. This macromycete is often adjacent to oily mushrooms and white mushrooms.

Culinary Characteristics

Zelenukha - mushroom is quite delicious and versatile. It can be dried, boiled, frozen, salted, marinated, fried, stewed. As already mentioned, it is not easy to wash and clean this macromycete, but the most difficult thing is to clean the dirt and sand particles that hammered between the plates. Before preparing these mushrooms from the cap, you need to remove the skin. Culinary processing only strengthens the saturation of the natural green color of this rally.
