Puppeteer - grass from drunkenness

A poisonous plant, named after the Flemish botanist - Lobel's chieftain - is simply called the puppeteer-grass. This perennial plant, whose stem reaches a height of half a meter, has yellowish-green inflorescences-panicles about 50 cm long.

The lower leaves of dark green color have an elliptical shape, the upper leaves growing throughout the stem are ovate, pointed, covered with a short whitish fuzz, gradually decreasing closer to the inflorescence. The question arises: puppeteer grass - where grows? It grows in floodplain meadows, glades. Avoiding dry plots of land, prefers places with a close groundwater table. The plant grows on the European territory of Russia, in the Caucasus, in the Lesser and Middle Asia, the Far East, in Western and Eastern Siberia.

Medicine

The puppeteer is a herb, the root of which was used in ancient times in folk medicine for the treatment of neurological diseases, rheumatism. In addition, infusions from this herb are used to treat pneumonia, as an antipyretic, as well as for the treatment of eczema and even typhus.

The puppeteer-grass, the photos of which you see in the article, is very poisonous. In modern medicine, it is prohibited for use as a component in various active food additives. The root of the puppeteer contains about six different alkaloids affecting the gastrointestinal tract and the cardiovascular system and capable of suppressing the work of the central nervous system. The puppeteer-grass is so poisonous that several grams of fresh plant roots are capable of killing an adult horse. Particularly high is the content of poison in the root in the autumn and spring period, for which the collection of this medicinal product is necessary. The greens are poisonous in the initial period of growth - in early spring, when the leaves have not yet turned around. The collected leaves and roots are dried in a well-digested room.

Drinking treatment

However, this plant has received the greatest popularity among those who wish to cure their relatives and friends from drunkenness. The fact is that the puppeteer is a grass, a decoction of which is incompatible with alcohol and causes rejection by the body. It is assumed that the decoction of the root added to the alcoholic beverage will induce vomiting every time after eating. The alcoholic, unaware of the true reasons for this reaction of the body, decides that he drank a low-quality drink. If vomiting ends in every use of alcohol, the drunkard will gradually begin to refuse to drink alcohol and finally get rid of this addiction. In the mixing of the broth in alcohol, there is another positive factor. Reaction of rejection causes weakness, as a result of which the aggressiveness of the alcoholic decreases.

Recipe

The recipe for preparing the broth is very simple: a quarter cup of boiling water is taken for a teaspoon of chopped roots of the puppeteer (this is slightly less than 10 grams). The broth is infused for an hour, and then filtered. Keep the broth in the refrigerator, in a place inaccessible to anyone except you. In small doses (no more than 3-5 drops per meal), it is mixed into food. In total, the norm of broth per day should not exceed 10 drops. This is a very strict dose, as exceeding it can lead to irreversible consequences.
