History of the creation and success of the team

The band was founded in 2004 in the Ukrainian capital by a musician who became a vocalist of the group, Andrei Khlyvnyuk and guitarist Andrei Samoilo. Band is a member of the independent musicians' union "Breath". Musicians perform songs not only in Ukrainian, but also in Russian, there are also several English songs in their repertoire.

Recorded in record time, the first album of performers "Melomania" (2005) immediately became popular on regional radio stations. The second album "Family Bizness" (2006), recorded by the well-known company Moon records, blew up all Ukrainian radio stations and got the status of "golden". A little later, the popular songs of the band "Vakhtoryam" and "Та4to" got on the air of Moscow radio stations and immediately gained huge popularity. From this began the musical activity of the collective in Russia.

In June 2010, the "Boombox" group, the photo of which you see in the article, releases the album "All inclusive", whose songs sound in a rock style. Despite the fact that the album contained only 2 new songs, it won an unprecedented popularity. The fourth studio album, entitled "Middle Age", was released in November 2011.

The first long concert tour of the collective in the cities of Ukraine was held in January 2008 with unprecedented sold-out. And on February 9, 2010 the musicians held their own solo concert in one of Moscow's clubs, which exceeded all expectations of performers. In 2011, the team conducted a concert tour of the cities of the USA and Canada. And at the end of 2013 "Boombox" made a tour of the Czech Republic and Germany.

Frequent flights pushed the group to write the last album with the name "Terminal B", which was presented to the public in 2013.

Group members

The frontman of the collective is Andrey Khlyvnyuk, who is not only involved in vocals, but also in writing lyrics for the band. Guitarist "Boombox" - Andrei Samoilo, nicknamed "The Fly." The bass guitar was mastered by Denis Levchenko. Alexander Lulyakin plays percussion instruments, Pavel Litvinenko on keyboard. The team also has a DJ - Valentin Matiyuk. Produces the band Alexei Sogomonov. Although the "Boombox" group was founded in Kiev, but its entire composition comes from other cities of the country: the vocalist from Cherkassy, the guitarist from Lutsk, and the DJ from Novovolynsk.

Soloist of the "Boombox"

The vocalist of the collective "Bumboks" was born in the Ukrainian city of Cherkasy on December 31, 1979. Love for music manifested itself in Khlyvnyuk's childhood, so he entered music school. He learned to play the accordion and was seriously engaged in vocal activity. His first poems began to write in school.

In addition to these hobbies, Andrew had the ability to draw. But after graduating from a specialized educational institution, Khlyvnyuk enters the Cherkassy National University named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky. In parallel, the musician begins to play in the band "Mandarin Paradise". After the victory at one of the regional music festivals, together with his team, Andrey moved to Kiev. Here he changes his musical preferences, learns new styles and just sings and writes for his pleasure. This is how the "Graphite" team appears, consisting of three members of various Ukrainian groups, which later became the "Boombox" group. Andrey experimented in various musical styles - jazz, funk, swing, rock'n'roll, but eventually stops at something mixed, original music for the soul.

The personal life of Andrei Khlyvnyuk finally developed successfully in 2010 - the musician married a journalist Anna Kopytova. At the moment, the couple have two children.

Khlyvnyuk also participates in Ukrainian television projects - in 2015 he became a member of the jury of such a famous TV show as "X-factor."

Songs of the band

The first songs of the Kiev group are published exclusively in Ukrainian and immediately gain popularity among their listeners. But later the group "Boombox" begins to release songs in Russian and English. The most famous among the compositions of the band are the songs "Vakhtoryam" and "Tama". They helped the performers to gain immense popularity on the radio stations of Russia and Ukraine and for a long time sunk into the hearts of listeners.

The songs of the "Boombox" group became soundtracks for such Russian and Ukrainian films as "Ashes", "Rejection", "Red Pearls of Love" ("Watchmen"), "Hottabych" (E-mail).

Awards and achievements

The first most popular single of the band was "Vakhteram" - about 20 weeks was in the top 10 of the radio program "Hit Parade of Two Capitals".

In December 2007, the "Boombox" group receives a premium from the "Maximum" radio in the "Opening of the Year" nomination.

Vocalist of the collective Andrey Khlyvnyuk has many awards for authorship of lyrics, including YUNA awards.

The group has in its arsenal and such a well-known in Russia award, as the "Golden Gramophone".
