What products are needed for the test?

So, to prepare a gingerbread house, we should get such products:

  1. Sugar - 0,5 glasses.
  2. Butter - one packet (200-260 g).

After preparing all the products, you can start mixing the dough. First, we mix sugar and honey with all the spices that play an important role. Put the whole mixture on a small fire. Honey gradually melts, and sugar dissolves.

Then add butter, eggs. We mix all this thoroughly with fire.

Then you need to add a little soda. The mixture must foam at the same time. But you still mix it well.

We take the finished chilled dough and roll it up to a thickness of seven to eight millimeters. Then we impose our stencils and cut out the details with a knife. We do it very carefully so as not to damage the dough. Do not forget to cut out the windows and doors. With them, the house will be much more beautiful. Before you send the dough into the oven, lay the baking tray with baking paper, we'll lay out the details of the billet. We put the temperature at 190 degrees on the stove and boldly put the cookies inside. Bake it will be no more than fifteen minutes. Just do not overdo it, otherwise the gingerbread will be too dark and over-dried.

Ready cookies should be cooled.

Cooking glaze

So, we already have ready-made parts, it remains only to collect our gingerbread houses. How? To do this, prepare the glaze. We will cook it twice, because in one day to collect everything and decorate will not work.

Protein of one cooled egg should be beaten with half a glass of sugar powder. We add a table spoon of lemon juice (necessarily freshly squeezed). The resulting glaze is applied to the confectioner's bag. We take the nozzle with the smallest slot and outline it with the outlines of all the windows, walls and doors. The roof, too, can be decorated in the form of shingles.

Let the glaze thicken. When it dries a little, but still does not completely solidify, you can decorate the details with different colored sprinkles, which are often used on Easter. Then the gingerbread houses will turn out even more vivid and beautiful.

We start to collect a house

Let's leave our products dry, and then move on to assembling the tower. Let's change the nozzle on the confectioner's bag to a wider one. And then we begin to apply the glaze to all future seams of the house. Each part of the facade is carefully placed one by one on a biscuit-stand, which we baked separately. After connecting the parts, hold them for a while so that they can stick together a little.

Thus, gradually install all parts of the house, applying glaze on the sides and bottom of the structure. Leave all this dry. Nights will be enough.

New glaze for the roof

The next day, you need to beat a new portion of the glaze using a single egg protein. With its help we will install the roof.
