"Forgotten Melody for Flute": actors, roles, features of the painting

The famous film "The Forgotten Melody for the Flute", whose actors are the stars of the Soviet screen, occupies a prominent place in the national cinema. This picture by genre refers to tragicomedy, rather brightly and critically showing the shortcomings of the bureaucratic system of the late 80s of the last century.

Features of the picture

The famous director E. Ryazanov produced films in which, in one way or another, in comedy, he demonstrated the shortcomings of the planned administrative system that existed in the Soviet Union. His first films are distinguished by the ease and immediacy of humor: in them the problems of Soviet society were shown very simply and at ease.

However, the films of the period of mature creativity are already imbued with the spirit of a heavier satire and, while remaining essentially comedic, nevertheless differ in a more complex plot and therefore are not so easily perceived. In addition, they appear elements of drama and even tragedy, as can be seen in the film "The Forgotten Melody for Flute." Her actors with amazing skill were able to translate on the screen very complex and ambiguous characters.

Psychology of Filimonov

In this film, the director, unlike his previous works, showed how bureaucratic norms and career care slowly but surely destroy a person from within.

The main character is a good person, who can be sincere and honest. But for the sake of career growth, he goes on deception, various tricks and even betrayal. However, he can not yet be called a finished man, because he obviously suffers because of his weak character and indecisiveness, which does not allow him to express his opinion of the relative events around him.

The image of the main character

It is possible to say with certainty that in the Soviet film fund a special place is occupied by the tape "The Forgotten Melody for the Flute". The actors of this film are quite convincing in their images, typical for their time.

The main character in the magnificent performance of L. Filatov is a high-ranking official who conducts a complex internal struggle with himself. His duties include censoring folk art. He himself considers the numbers and performances he saw to be interesting and attractive, but for fear of losing his job, he almost always imposes bans on their production. At the same time, he does not agree with the opinion of the chief in his heart of hearts (he was played by V. Sanaev), considering his opinions as outdated, and his views as reactionary and old-fashioned.

Love line in the story

And in the family, he also feels trapped. His wife (this role was performed by I. Kupchenko) is the daughter of one of the chiefs, who in due time helped him to advance in the service. Between the spouses there is neither trust nor love. Viewers see that marriage is held solely from business considerations (at least, from his side). And only in the society of Lida's nurse, played by T. Dogilev, he feels free and relaxed. With her, he is really happy, because he quickly found a common language with the girl.

However, the opinion of society in the end is for him above all. He several times publicly refused it, which eventually led to a heart attack in the hero. An indication that he has not yet become a completely callous person is the flute that is kept in his house, but he hardly remembers about. It was for Lida that he played a melody in one of the scenes, which he learned back in his youth, but he almost forgot about it.

Other characters

In the film "The Forgotten Melody for the Flute", the actors of which perfectly fit into their roles, all actors are very believable.

So, the nurse's image is touching, lively and energetic at the same time. She is very enterprising, honest, open, able to publicly defend her point of view. At the same time, she is a deeply feeling girl, which causes sympathy among the audience. It is on it is the main moral load of the picture.

The actors of the film "The Forgotten Melody for Flute" demonstrated a high level of performing skills. The heroine Kupchenko appears before the audience as an exclusively business woman, not without some sensitivity, however. Despite the betrayal of her husband, she still forgives him, although it is clear that she is doing this, rather, in order to preserve the appearance of well-being.

This character is interesting for its ambiguity: on the one hand, it is a fairly dry, harsh woman, however, on the other hand, it appears as a deceived wife, who, after all, wants to empathize.

Image of the bureaucracy

In the movie "The Forgotten Melody for the Flute" the actors were able to perfectly depict the defects of the bureaucratic system of the Soviet Union. In the scenario, images of government officials are of particular importance. First of all, we should name Yaroslav Stepanovich - the chief of the main hero. He is intelligent, practical and cunning, but completely conservative in his views. He entirely belongs to the planned system, although, perhaps, at heart, he realizes that his views and methods are completely outdated.

The film "The Forgotten Melody for the Flute", the actors and roles of which differ in complex psychology, is also interesting for female second-rate characters. For example, Surova, in her magnificent performance, O. Volkova, is a typical image of a very well-off woman, who also belongs to the bureaucratic system criticized by the director.

Ambiguous feelings awakens in the viewer of the film "The Forgotten Melody for the Flute." Actors and roles have long been included in the gold fund of Soviet cinema and occupy a prominent place in the work of the director. This was a very successful experience in sharp satire, as well as more open criticism of the bureaucracy and the planning system, which was previously present in the works of E. Ryazanov only hints.
