In addition, the Ford Shelby GT500 is additionally equipped with cooling channels for the front brakes, which give a sense of smoothness of movement and the possibility of additional control over the car.

Perhaps one of the most important improvements was the new forged 20-inch wheels, which are somewhat lighter than the 19-inch wheels and a bit wider. The developers claim that, thanks to this, the car's speed has increased by almost 3%, and the acceleration has increased by 0.1 seconds. In addition, for the first time a glass roof is available for the Ford Shelby GT500.

Engine

The aluminum engine of modern cars is not a novelty. It is more advantageous, since it is lighter than iron, moreover it is the best conductor, therefore such an engine, as a rule, can better conduct heat. However, despite all these positive qualities, aluminum can not withstand the pressure of the piston, moving down and up the cylinder. It's too soft. The most common solution to this problem is to install special iron tabs in the cylinders. This fixes the problem of service life, but adds weight to the product.

When it is applied, a steel rod is used (as in welding), with which the aluminum cylinder is coated with iron oxide (not to be confused with rust!). PTWA is far from a new technology - the aerospace industry has long used a coating of this type to strengthen aluminum components, such as turbine blades.

The first thing that catches your eye is his amazing fiberglass hood, which has an original design, the inscription "Shelby" and a distinctive emblem in the shape of a snake, of course. In addition, its uniqueness is emphasized by the contrasting stripes running all over the body of the Ford Shelby GT500.

The price of the basic model is approximately $ 29,500 and about $ 33,500 in addition - for a more powerful option option. However, these are producer prices and they are valid only in the USA, while in Russia the price of this "furious snake" is an order of magnitude higher: $ 100,000-150,000.
