Flowers-muzhegon: myth or reality? Getting closer

Long ago people endowed plants with magical properties, dividing them into those that bring happiness, luck, wealth and prosperity, and those from which only wait for misfortunes, misfortunes and disagreements. So among the house plants appeared flowers - "male happiness" and flowers - "muzhegon". It is noteworthy that if "male happiness" is a very specific flower - anthurium, then several kinds of indoor plants are called "muzhegons" . The most common owners of such ill-fame are different kinds of ivy and lianas. In the conditions of urban apartments and private houses, the most common are "maple" ivy, or heder, waxy ivy - hoyu and liana scindapsus. Of course, it is possible to argue about the presence of the supernatural ability to survive from the house of men from these plants, and in many respects everything depends on your belief in this and the general mood in the family, but even these indoor flowers are quite interesting ones.

Ivy Hedera: evergreen miracle on your windowsill

Hedera is one of the varieties of ivy, of which there are about 15 species among indoor plants. These indoor flowers-muzhegon look great as ampel plants in suspended flowerpots, and also as creeping plants, if a pot is fixed in a pot. Then the shoots of ivy will climb upwards and securely attach to the support with the help of roots resembling suckers. And to make this plant easier, the plant can be sprinkled from time to time. Dwarf hybrids are also grown as ground cover. Hybrids with a single green color of the leaves tolerate the shadow well, but varieties with a motley pattern on the leaves need more light. In summer, the cheder can be taken to fresh air, for example, on a balcony or put out of the window. For wintering these flowers-muzhegon can be moved to a cooler room, cut irrigation and spraying. The root system of the heder, like other lianas, is underdeveloped, so that large pots are not required for it. Adult plants are transplanted as needed, when they become cramped in a container. Propagates hedera cuttings and layers, easily acclimatized.

Wax ivy hoya: indoor flower-muzhegon of extraordinary beauty

Hoya in the people is more known as a wax. Its dense fleshy leaves and fragrant flowers, gathered in umbellate inflorescences, immediately attract attention. Wax ivy is a tender and fragile plant: it needs strong support, and also does not like to be touched and rearranged once more, especially during the flowering period. These flowers-muzhegon very fond of spraying and baths: to stimulate flowering in the room, shoots are regularly placed for half an hour in warm water, and an earthenware - for two hours.

Scindapsus: a luxurious, colorful, handsome man on your windowsill

Liana scindapsus - also a flower-muzhegon. As it looks, surely even beginners know the florists, because this is one of the most common lianas grown in homes and offices. Scindapsus, or, as it is also called for rapid growth, "fucking ivy" - a plant unpretentious. Being quite a powerful and fast growing liana, it requires a strong support. Ideal option - a pillar braided with coconut fiber. Most often, a scindapsus is grown with a mottled golden pattern on the leaves. This variety requires a brighter light, while hybrids with a single color of leaves perfectly tolerate the shadow.

As you can see, all these plants are quite attractive and original, but if you really are superstitious and are afraid of their negative influence on family happiness, do not rush to throw the flower away - better take it to the office or other public place where it will become an excellent decoration of the room.
