The main feature of the installation of such units is the need to have a considerable space in front of them, since otherwise free air flow is not directed upwards. This circumstance is decisive when choosing the installation site for split systems, as it is necessary to minimize the possible risk of colds of people who are or are working nearby. Hide such air conditioners for the elements of the environment, therefore, should not: moreover, they can be a good addition to the overall design of the room. Column air conditioners allow the installation of supply ducts, which allows even more efficient operation.

Most models are equipped with an indication of the filter cleaning system, as well as a self-diagnostic function of the system, if it starts to work in an abnormal mode.
