Features of column air conditioners

Colon air conditioners are also called closets. They are usually installed in the places of permanent residence of a large number of people: in large shops and offices, restaurants, theaters, etc. According to their design, the column air conditioners belong to the so-called "split systems" (in English the verb "to split" means "to separate") and consists of several blocks.

Advantages of column air conditioners

The multi-block design allows such air conditioners to provide minimum temperature differences in the room, regardless of external conditions. This is explained by the fact that during the operation of the air conditioner a powerful stream of cooled air is generated, and this air is directed to the ceiling of the room. In addition, the large weight of the column air conditioner significantly simplifies and reduces the cost of installation, since it does not require special fastening to the surface. For the same reason, the type of air conditioner in question is simple and convenient to maintain, since it facilitates the performance of a variety of routine maintenance. Manufacturers of modern models of column air conditioners equip them with additional components that increase the comfort of air, for example, ionizers. The power of the working units of such air conditioners reaches 50 kW.

Installation and maintenance of column air conditioners

The main feature of the installation of such units is the need to have a considerable space in front of them, since otherwise free air flow is not directed upwards. This circumstance is decisive when choosing the installation site for split systems, as it is necessary to minimize the possible risk of colds of people who are or are working nearby. Hide such air conditioners for the elements of the environment, therefore, should not: moreover, they can be a good addition to the overall design of the room. Column air conditioners allow the installation of supply ducts, which allows even more efficient operation.

How do the column air conditioners work?

Air conditioning is due to the operation of a powerful compressor. Depending on the set operating conditions, the microprocessor integrated in the split split system automatically sets the best airflow speed. Most models are equipped with an indication of the filter cleaning system, as well as a self-diagnostic function of the system, if it starts to work in an abnormal mode. The angle of swinging of the blinds in the column air conditioners is regulated, which allows you to change the direction of the air flow. A characteristic feature of such split systems is the presence of dust-collecting air filters. The air conditioners are controlled both from the inner side panel of the unit and via the remote control.
