How to use the "frog" to charge the phone. Universal charging for phone
Usually complete with any digital equipment, the buyer also receives a charger. On the one hand - it's very convenient. On the other hand, a whole collection of various charges can accumulate at home. Some fail, others, on the contrary, remain without the "master." Unsuitable devices are thrown into the dump with whole bundles, and new ones are bought.
Official information from the European Commission
A few years ago, under the pressure of ecologists from the European Commission, the largest electronics companies came to an agreement on the release of universal chargers for any gadget. With the new phones in the kit will be sold "universal". Later, both phones and chargers can be bought separately. While this process is moving very slowly, but the market still began to appear high-quality devices that can replace the "frog" for charging digital cameras.
Varieties of chargers
- Mini transformers with mains supply;
- Automatic pulse;
- Universal charging for the phone and other digital equipment.
Transformer non-automatic chargers
In these devices there are no protective circuits. If the battery is overcharged, the electrolyte from the nickel-metal hydride battery can boil off. As a consequence of this process, the capacity decreases and the power of the device falls. At the moment, such devices are almost out of use, despite its durability and reliability. If you put a "frog" next to this device to charge the phone, you can immediately see how far progress in technology development has taken.
Pulsed charging of batteries
Features of charging batteries
- Batteries do not always discharge to zero. If you constantly put the device on a charge with not fully utilized battery power, the ability to accumulate electricity (capacity) gradually fades and reduces the time it works.
- If the player, phone or camera is idle for a long time, the battery charge is depleted and the device stops responding to the on signal.
- Some devices are disconnected from use in the cold.
In order to revive the battery, you can use the "frog" to charge the phone. The "asleep" battery is withdrawn from the case and clamped by the contacts of the "frog" in the usual manner. Then the device is connected to the network. After several minutes of exposure under voltage (no more than 5), the battery is returned to the phone. Further charging is carried out in the usual way, i.e. through a personal charger with a cord and an adapter.
Universal station chargers
- From the electrical network;
- From a computer or laptop;
- Platforms with a set of special adapters;
- From the solar panel;
- From car cigarette lighter (CAM);
- Portable dynamo charging.
Some fixed devices can simultaneously serve several phones with different outputs. Advanced companies have started the production of wireless platforms, to connect to which do not need any connecting cords, nor adapters, nor other direct contacts. To recharge the phone or tablet it is enough to place on the surface of the platform for a while.
How to charge a "frog"
Using sets with replaceable plugs and a voltage switch, it is very simple to connect the charger to the portable equipment object. However, you need to take into account both the recharging time, and the value of the optimal current for this particular device. Otherwise, the battery life may be drastically reduced. This process can be made safe by using a "frog" to charge the phone. In addition, the "wagon" of this design is indispensable in cases where the incoming connector is broken.
The case has small dimensions, a button for reversing polarity, two contact clamps, indicators, a folding plug for connecting to a network with voltage from 110 to 220 volts to a standard outlet. The most advanced models are equipped with an LCD display to monitor the capacity of a rechargeable battery. This is how the "frog" charge looks. How to use, described below.
Instructions for connecting the "frog"
In order to charge or animate the battery from any portable digital device with a "frog", you need to do the following:
- Remove it from the case of the previously switched off device;
- Clamp the contact minks of charging minus and plus on the battery terminals ;
- Make sure the indicator lights green;
- Plug into the electrical outlet;
- One of the indicators is green, the second indicator is blinking red - charging is normal;
- After 2-3 hours the red light will turn off, and the end indicators will illuminate with a steady green glow, indicating that the battery is ready for operation;
- The battery is released from the "frog's" legs and inserted into the phone, camera or other device;
- Include a digital device in the usual way.
If the indicator light does not blink, you need to change the polarity by pressing the button on the charger. Sometimes the contacts are slightly pressed or pushed. If you change their position, everything will go fine. In some cases, when the battery is damaged or has full capacity, the indicators will not show any signs of life.
The battery, which is discharged from a prolonged inactivity, you can restore efficiency by connecting to the network through the "frog". After receiving a small electric shock, the battery will work again.
Knowing how to use the "frog" for charging, you can maintain your favorite gadgets in working condition, without bothering to search for "native" chargers.
However, this method is often used as emergency in cases where the incoming contact is damaged or there is no own charger. Turning the phone on and off frequently can override the current settings. Infinite opening of the housing can lead to breakage of the fastening clips on the cover. Using some time "frog" to charge the phone, it is worthwhile to worry about purchasing a more convenient charger.
