Error (code 43): what is it, and how to fix it?

There are such impartial situations when you work at a computer, everything seems to be normal, but suddenly the system gives you a message that the device was stopped (code 43). Yes, the system does not hang, but it's almost impossible to work. Let's see what causes the emergence of such situations.

What is the error (code 43)?

Naturally, there can be a lot of reasons for such failures. Occurrence of the message on a stop of any equipment means only that Windows has found out the conflict of the equipment.

And, this is not an operating system failure, as some users might think. These are the conflicts between the "iron" components. Strange as it may seem, it happens. And it's often not even a matter of drivers or related programs. For example, sometimes a device installed in the system can simply simply not have enough power, which provides the same computer system unit. Let's consider the most widespread variants of occurrence of such failures.

The most common situations

It is believed that the error code 43 is manifested mainly in the failure of the video card (video adapter, video accelerator, graphics accelerator). If you analyze the most common situations, the most frequent, unfortunately, are the conflicts of the graphics accelerator with the slats of RAM.

The situation in the event of a problem (code 43) is interpreted by the system as a sort of "indecisiveness" between the "operative" of the computer and the memory of the video adapter. And, it is believed, it does not directly depend on the device drivers, but on the manufacturers themselves, because in most cases the BIOS of the video card is defined in the sense that the device is recognized by the system, which means it should function normally. It would seem ... But no! It was not there. How to fix the error containing the code 43, we now look.

Fixing video adapter problems

First, make sure that the device (in the sense of a graphics accelerator) is determined by the system, but it does not function as expected.

To do this, you must use the standard "Device Manager" Windows. Here you can immediately see the status of the device. If it is marked with a yellow exclamation mark, then the device does not work properly.

First of all, you should try to update the video card drivers or install them again. Who knows, the conflict may have arisen at the program level (especially for self-tuning Plug & Play devices). But what strikes most is the fact that the emergence of errors containing code 43, oddly enough, are subject to NVIDIA adapters.

Memory problems

Here you should first use the computer administration and additional boot parameters, access to which is done through the system configuration menu. In the line indicating the amount of memory, you need to check the box that allows you to use its maximum, indicating the appropriate value in the required field).

We overload the system and wait for the result. If the message appears again, you will have to pull out all the memory slots when the computer terminal is turned off, and then insert no more than 2 GB, gradually adding new ones (if any).

It may very well be that this is not due to the video card, but to the "RAM", or rather the slats from different manufacturers.

Problem (code 43) when working with USB devices

USB-devices are also not immune from the appearance of messages about such errors. Most often this applies to regular USB flash drives, not USB hard drives. Whether it is not enough that can be? Yes, just accidentally hooked on the included in the port of the flash drive on the laptop. That's the system and "spit". Just re-insert it into the appropriate port or simply reboot the system.

Unidentified devices and problems with registry clutter

Another thing is when Windows does not recognize the device (in the "Device Manager" it is designated as Unknown Device).

This situation signals that the system simply did not find in its arsenal the drivers most suitable for the correct operation of the device. In this case, you will either have to install the driver from the disk, or simply download it from the Internet (yes, at least from the official website of the manufacturer).

In some cases, code 43 in the system error can also be caused by the fact that there are a lot of incorrect or obsolete keys in the registry that are referenced by the system when you try to access the attached USB component. Here, too, everything is simple.

Since Windows itself does not contain its own tools, you need to use utilities to fix the registry. It can be anything, say, programs like CCleaner, Advanced System Care, Glary Utilities, Windows 7 Manager, Ashampoo WinOptimizer, Registry Optimizer, in general, any optimizer, where there is such a function, even included in the analysis and corrections in One click.

The result

In general, as it is already clear, there is no need to be alarmed by reports about the shutdown of some equipment. In principle, such problems, in most cases, are solved quite simply. Of course, now they do not take into account the situation when some "iron" component breaks completely or partially. Naturally, you will need to replace it with a new one or a similar one.

On the other hand, many experts do not recommend installing the same "RAM" bars from different manufacturers. As they say, you never know what. On the other hand, the hardware conflicts can be based on the software level, so do not forget about the optimization tools of the system, they often help much better than even the replacement of hardware, excluding the appearance of conflicts in terms of cross-device drivers. True, this will require professional utilities. In general, errors can occur even in Bluetooth wireless communication modules.
