Ectropion of the cervix is an acquired or congenital disease, accompanied by a reversal of the mucous membrane of the cervical canal. In general, ectropion is considered to be a more complex clinical form of the disease called "ectopia of the cervical canal."

The ectropion of the cervix, as already mentioned, can be an innate congenital disorder. In this case, it arises, first of all, when the process of hormone production in the body of nulliparous representatives of the weaker sex is violated.
