Ectropion of cervix uteri

Ectropion of the cervix is an acquired or congenital disease, accompanied by a reversal of the mucous membrane of the cervical canal. In general, ectropion is considered to be a more complex clinical form of the disease called "ectopia of the cervical canal."

The ectropion of the cervix, as already mentioned, can be an innate congenital disorder. In this case, it arises, first of all, when the process of hormone production in the body of nulliparous representatives of the weaker sex is violated. However, it is worth noting that this disease is often acquired, that is, appears after abortion, childbirth, if in the process of them a woman was injured, she had breaks and the like. If, for any reason, there is a damage to the circular muscles, but their counteraction to the longitudinal muscles that have been preserved, it is not possible to observe the eversion of the lower part of the cervical canal, the gaping of the external pharynx. As a result, changes in the scar type develop in tissues that have been damaged. They deform the cervix. If we talk about the mucosa of this channel, then at the point of eversion it gradually ceases to perform those functions for which it is responsible. In addition, it is worth noting that quite often against the backdrop of this process, there is further infection and disruption of tissue nutrition in this area. All this in turn contributes to inflammation of the cervix. In this situation, we can talk about the presence of a disease called "erosive ectropion."

Ectropion of the cervix is almost not manifested. For example, in such patients, there are often no complaints. However, it is possible to detect an ailment when a woman turns to a specialist with a different problem. For example, many women know that they have an ectropion of the cervix, which is already complicated by other diseases of the inflammatory type, characterized by pain in the vagina, secretions and other disorders. With all this, a woman may have a menstrual cycle.

In order to diagnose such a disease, you need to first go to your gynecologist. Remember that only a specialist can detect such an ailment. The examination is carried out on a special gynecological chair. The doctor uses mirrors. With the help of such tools, a gynecologist can quickly detect the presence of an inversion of the mucous cervical canal. It is worth noting that quite often with such a survey it is found that the cervix is already strongly deformed. Pseudo-erosion is detected during colposcopy. If we talk about an innate ectropion, then in this case, to diagnose it, we need to study the hormonal status. In addition to all this, you need a comprehensive full-fledged examination, in which you can find the first signs of any pathology of the sexual sphere of a woman. Experts argue that the earlier the disease is detected, the easier and faster it can be disposed of.

If a woman has been diagnosed with the ectropion of the cervix, the treatment and its method will depend on the age of the patient herself, the changes in the cervical canal and the condition of the reproductive system as a whole. Most often in such a situation for treatment specialists use antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, hormonal drugs. Sometimes surgical treatment is required, accompanied by laser, electric, radio wave conization and correction of the shape of the cervix. In order to start treatment of this disease, a woman needs to contact one of the medical centers in her city. To date, thanks to advanced technology, ectropion is treated very quickly.
