Dominique Zardi is a French actor who has performed roles in such well-known films as Fantômas, Two in the City, Fantômas vs. Scotland Yard. His first role was played in 1958, the latter in 2007. The actor was born on March 2, 1930 in Paris. In his youth he was professionally boxing. Cinematography became his main profession and way of earning only in 1958, when he first took part in the filming of the film. Sometimes his hero did not say a word, and very often it happened that his name did not appear in the credits. Nevertheless, Dominik Zardi was a popular actor, he was known and loved by the audience, he played roles in 500 films. In 1960, the movie "Hole" was released, in which one of the roles was performed by Zardi. This is a criminal thriller about a certain Gaspare, who got into prison dungeons, where he gets acquainted with four friends. New friends decide to tell him about the plans for escape, which they decided to do by all means. In the hope of being at large, prison inmates are daily engaged in scrapping walls. The case is gradually moving forward, with the expansion of the opening in the wall, the confidence of the prisoners is growing that their plan will work.

In the same year, Dominik Zardi, films with which he won several times at various film festivals, played in the historical drama "Austerlitz". This picture tells of the battle of 1805, when the army of Napoleon entered into a confrontation with the Russian-Austrian army, twice its superiority in human strength. In 1961 Dominik Zardi found himself in the company of such stars of cinema as Ingrid Bergman and Yves Montand, performing a role in the melodrama "Do you love Brahms?". This film is about the famous designer Paul Tissier. In the life of this woman there is a love triangle, where, in addition to her, two men: Lovelace Roger Demar and a wealthy young woman, who by her age is suitable for her sons, passionately in love with her. This French-American project received one of the awards at the Cannes Film Festival that year.

In the same period, actor Dominik Zardi played in Jean-Luc Godard's film Woman is a Woman. This comedy melodrama, in which the main roles were performed by Jean-Clodd Briali and Anna Karina, tells about the girl Angela, who is passionately dreaming of becoming a mother. However, her husband Emil is drawn to the last in this matter. The heroine has no choice but to put forward an ultimatum: the child's father will be either he or their mutual friend Alfred, who, it seems, is ready to offer his services. At the Berlin Film Festival, actress Anna Karina received the main award for her role in this film in the nomination "For the Best Actress".

One of the last roles

In 2005, the actor played in the movie "Love for Three". This is a comedic melodrama, in which the main role was performed by Jean Dujardin, about two partners and friends, Paul and Frank working in the police.
