However, demonstrative disrespect for older people, the desire at every opportunity to express their very controversial ideas, completely refusing to listen to other people's opinions is hardly forgivable even for a young man. The desire to think for yourself is a laudable trait, but trying to impose one's own beliefs with tactless perseverance can hardly serve as a model for imitation. However, Bazarov liked parts of the youth of the second half of the XIX century. His cynicism and nihilism, many copied, and the hero sympathized.

Eugene is always dissatisfied with everything. He does not like landlord stagnation, ignorance of peasants and empty talk. Art, in his opinion, is an unnecessary thing, but natural sciences, which have applied significance, are power. Even before his death, making a conclusion about his own irrelevance in his native country, he declares the value of people productive labor: shoemaker, butcher, tailor. In the end, young people by nature Protest moods are typical, and it's fine if the young man believes that he came to the world in order to improve it. And nihilism, well , there is also its rational grain in it. A person who is in captivity of established ideas and who believes in authority in a faithful way will never find a new one, he will not make discoveries, he will not dare to resist stereotypes.

The main thing is that the discussions do not violate common values. We have one country.
