Doberman Pinscher: history and description of the breed

As the UK is home to many breeds of cats, Germany is also famous for breeding races of dogs. The Doberman Pinscher is one of them. The first word in the name of the breed was glorified in the centuries by its creator, Luis Doberman, who in the second half of the 19th century was a policeman in the Thuringian town of Apolda. For his difficult and dangerous work, he needed a fearless and faithful companion. He began to combine various local breeds of terriers (in German "pinchers") to bring out a particularly malicious type of dog, selflessly devoted to his master, but distrustful of outsiders.

Unfortunately, the policeman Luis did not make any records, and we can only guess what kind of blood became the basis of this race of dogs. It is believed that the Doberman Pinscher inherited the qualities of an old rottweiler, a black and tan terrier, a Weimaran sturdy and a bosseron (French shepherd). It should be noted that in the new race all the merits of the original breeds have merged, and thus, the ideal service dog was hatched .

After Doberman's death, the selection was continued by the professional cynologist Otto Haller. He began work with quite heavy pinschers, with a massive head. Holler set out to lead a dog-aristocrat, refined, but athletic built. Manchester Terrier, English greyhound and Greyhound extended the proportions of the new dog, and the modern Doberman Pinscher no longer resembles his squat ancestors-terriers. With the advent of the twentieth century, the demand for this breed increased due to the fact that many power structures of different countries were interested in the excellent search and fighting qualities of these dogs. In Russia they first met in 1902.

What kind of breed is a Doberman Pinscher? At first glance at this medium-sized dog it becomes clear that it is remarkable for its remarkable strength. But at the same time the dog does not create a sensation of a heavyweight, like, for example, the Rottweiler. He has a refined wedge-shaped head with a soft transition from forehead to nose, medium-sized intelligent eyes, peering into people's faces, as if assessing them. A beautiful bow-shaped neck is strong, but not massive and not tender. A distinctive feature of this race are the paws: the fingers are rounded, like a kitty, the trace is left small, as if a small dog passed.

Doberman character is not easy. After all, he was taken out to protect him from attacks. The instinct to "patronize" these dogs is simply ineradicable. Some males require an "iron hand", but most of the breed's representatives are easy to train and get along well with all members of the family, including children. That your defender was not too aggressive and behaved socially, it is necessary to develop his intellect. You also need to provide him with the necessary physical activity.

Dog Doberman has a short and stiff wool, which very effectively opens the playing muscles and muscles. It moves easily and smoothly. Suits are allowed dark brown, black, but also blue (steel) and pale. Over eyes, on the lips, neck, paws, chest and under the tail of the animal are obligatory tan marks of rust. The lips of the dogs fit tightly to the teeth, which will please those who do not like "slobbery" dogs. Tails and ears stop in puppies. Among the genetic diseases include hip dysplasia, thyroid, heart and liver diseases. The owner of the Doberman was a physically active, strong person to provide his pupil with proper exercise and exercise.
