Diagnostic maps in the GEF DOW: examples and features

Diagnostic maps in the DOS on GEF were introduced after the modernization of pre-school education. They are maintained by the tutor for each child from the moment of entering the kindergarten and before it is released.

Subject of diagnostics

The GEF Diagnostic Card is designed to take into account the individual achievements of the child. Its results are used to create a personal educational trajectory of the preschool child, to find a way to solve problems related to the development of the baby.

Periodicity of the

Diagnostic maps in the DEW of the GEF are filled by the tutor at least twice a year. In September this year, the teacher plans for each pupil individual development in certain educational areas. In May, he performs a comparison of the entry level and the results obtained. Among the common methods used for such diagnostics, the questionnaire is singled out. To conduct surveillance, the caretaker must have information about the indicators used to characterize the skills and abilities of preschool children in each educational area.

Diagnostics structure

The diagnostic map of GEF is filled on the basis of the personal developmental path of the baby, it reflects his personal development, the intermediate and final results are systematized. The basic requirements for the level of preparation of children in the DOW are indicated in the new standards, they are the benchmarks for the work. In order to organize their pedagogical activity, correctly fill in diagnostic cards in the GEF DOW, the tutor uses special tables. They indicate all the educational areas that the child should learn at a certain stage of development, the planned results are marked.

Example for the educational area "Speech development"

Diagnostic maps in the GEF DOW presuppose a clear indication of all the skills that a preschooler should master.

In the speech area it is assumed:

  • Knowledge of some genres of children's literature;
  • Retelling of a literary work, the ability to compose a story according to a certain plan;
  • Mastering the differences between a word, sentence, letter, sound, determining their sequence;
  • The ability to use antonyms, synonyms, generalizing words in colloquial speech , to compose complex and logical sentences

The diagnostic map of the child assumes an estimation of formation of similar skills and abilities on a three-point system. Then the average score is determined, and it is indicated in the table.

The procedure for conducting pedagogical diagnostics is organized in different ways, depending on the directions of the program, the characteristics of the child. In any case, the map should reflect the various activities: game, motor, visual, intellectual. The GEF recommendations contain examples of creating problem situations, through which one can analyze the skills available to the preschooler. Such examples are not yet offered for all educational fields, so caregivers are forced to develop their own methods of observing their patients in order to fill in the diagnostic tables. Among the requirements for such a diagnosis, we note that the research should be carried out in natural conditions for the child, special test tasks for analyzing the skills of the future student are not allowed. The educator works in close cooperation with the child psychologist to exclude any stressful situations that could negatively affect the mental state of the preschooler, somehow upset him.
