Denis Boytsov - Russian Tyson

Denis Boytsov is a Russian professional boxer. He played in the heavyweight division. In his active 37 fights and only one defeat. In this article you will be presented with a brief biography of the athlete.

Childhood

Boytsov Denis was born in the city of Orel in 1986. In the boxing boy brought his father. After a year of regular physical activity, Denis had problems with the heart valve. The boy had to go to the cardiological center for a week and a half. A few years later, the young boxer again had health problems - regular back pain. The father thought that with his complaints the boy wants to "bite" from training. But the medical examination put everything in its place. Boytsova discovered a displacement of the vertebra. He got it yet quite a kid when he stumbled during the game. But then Denis felt nothing, and the trauma "came out" a few years later. If the address to the doctors happened a little later, the boy would have a guaranteed disability. And so the doctors had a complicated operation without complications. The only thing, the boy had to stretch the spine and for one and a half years adhere to bed rest.

The first championship

Denis did not even think about fighting with boxing. As soon as the rehabilitation was over, the boy immediately began training. In 2000 he went to the junior world championship in Azerbaijan. There, Boytsov won a clean victory, not losing a single match. From that moment his amateur career began.

Transition to professionals

Four years later Denis found himself at a crossroads. On the one hand was amateur boxing, where he dominated. On the other hand, there was a professional career and high fees. As a result, Boytsov Denis chose money and signed a contract with the German company "Universe". It is noteworthy that he did not tell anyone about his transition to a pro boxer, not even to his own coach. The financial position of Denis immediately improved. So, for all his fights, being an amateur, Boytsov earned only 20 thousand rubles. The fees for the first three fights as a professional, allowed the boxer to buy his father a new car (Lada of the 12th model).

Professional battles

The first professional duel was held in Hamburg. Boxer Denis Boytsov did not disappoint the Germans who made a bet on him. The enemy went into a deep knockout at the end of the first round. And it was amazing! After all, the defeated Slovak had a very solid experience of fighting. The second fight Boytsova was in the same style. German newspapers gave Denis the nickname "Russian Tyson" (Mike was known for sending heavyweights in a knockout in the 1st round).

Health problems

Boytsov was only nineteen years old, but even such a young organism gave a crash after heavy training. Denis began to worry about the heart. In 2005, right after the competition in Cuba, the athlete underwent a complete examination. His results simply stunned the doctors of the Russian national team: several vessels of the boxer's heart entwined into knots, which threatened to stop the heart at any moment. This problem was helped to solve urgent surgical intervention.

New victories

After a six-month rehabilitation Denis again returned to training and soon went to Korea for the World Cup. Few people expected high results from him. But Boytsov confidently took first place, proving to everyone around him that he is still the unbeaten sportsman.

Right after Korea there was a fight in Austria. Belarusian rival Oleg Tsukanov became Denis's rival. Boytsova was not embarrassed by the fact that the enemy was seven years older and weighed 25 kilograms more. Denis "broke" the Belarusian with powerful blows in the stomach and face. This happened at the beginning of the second round.

For his professional career, Denis Boytsov, whose fights were watched by all boxing fans, had 37 fights and suffered only one defeat. And he certainly could have won all the possible titles, had it not been for the tragedy that had taken place.

Attack

In May 2015, Denis Boytsov was attacked in the Berlin metro. He was found by workers in one of the tunnels with a head injury. Doctors immediately introduced the athlete into a state of artificial coma. The Boxer stayed in it for seven weeks.

Now the health condition of Denis Boytsov is estimated as extremely difficult. He already had two operations on his head and is soon planning a third. The athlete opens his eyes, can breathe without the apparatus, but is unable to speak and move. At the appeals of others, he reacts sluggishly with his mouth and hands. Now Boytsov is in a specialized clinic for the recovery of patients after a coma. With 103 kilograms, his weight dropped to 70.
