David Shore is a Canadian writer, producer, lawyer. He is known all over the world as the creator of the popular TV series "Doctor House".

In different years, David was awarded the Gemini Award, Emmy, Humanitas Prize for his work.

Biography

David Shore, his biography is not rich in vivid details from his childhood and youth, was born on 03.07.1959 in London, Ontario, in Canada. The writer has two younger brothers - Robert and Philip. Both of them decided to become rabbis.

After leaving school, David first went to study at the University of Toronto, and then got a job as a lawyer for corporate law in a municipal institution.

The work of the lawyer did not give Shore much pleasure, so when he had the opportunity to move to Los Angeles and start working on television, he happily took advantage of it.

Career on TV

His first script, David Shore wrote for the series "Law and Order" in 1990. Shore also became the producer of this series. "Law and order" immediately fell in love with the audience and television critics. The series was regularly aired for 19 years, from 1990 to 2009. So began a long chreda successful projects of the popular screenwriter.

In 1994, the writer begins work on the script and the production of the television series "Strictly to the South." The plot of the new show tells of a mounted policeman from Canada, who was in the United States.

In September 1993 the New York Police came out on TV screens. The television series in the genre of a dramatic detective appeared on ABC television from 1993 to 2005 and lasted 12 seasons. He is considered one of the most successful projects of David Shore. The plot is based on the life of police station No. 15, located in New York. Filming was conducted on the television studios of 20th Century Fox and Steven Bochco Productions.

The series "Doctor House"

In 2003 Shore begins work on the new series "Doctor House". The idea of his work is to make the series look like a detective story, but about doctors. Fox was interested in the script. The first series was aired in November 2004. The series in a short time became popular all over the world. In total, 8 seasons of "Doctor House" were filmed. The series was in the Guinness Book of Records, as it was watched by 80 million viewers.

The protagonist of the show is Dr. House, a remarkable diagnostician who works at the Princeton-Plainsboro hospital. He has his own team of doctors, helping him put medical diagnoses in the most difficult and confusing cases. Gregory House is a terrible character, because of the injury he once suffered, he limps and constantly feels pain in his leg.

When David Shore worked on the script for the series, he associated the protagonist with the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. It's no accident that House sounds like Holmes, and the name of the best friend of House, James Wilson, is similar to John Watson, Holmes' comrade.

The roles in the series were: Hugh Laurie, Robert Sean Leonard, Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer and other actors.
