There are different ways to grow cucumbers: on open soil, in greenhouses, on a windowsill in a city apartment - everywhere this gift of nature, with the right agricultural techniques, will yield high yields of products.

When grown on open soil, cucumbers should be planted in well-lit and sheltered areas of the earth, preferably on southern or south-western slopes. The best predecessors for them are peas, early cabbage, beans, tomatoes, onions, early potatoes. If there is no possibility to change the landing site every year, they can be grown in the same place for 4-6 years in a row, and it is necessary to burn leaves and plant residues in the fall in the area, the ash of which is the best fertilizer for cucumbers. Still carry out a deep digging and very carefully destroy the weeds in the immediate vicinity of the place of growth of cucumbers. Around the area with cucumbers, it is better to plant high-growth plants that will protect the cucumbers from wind.

Traditional agricultural techniques for growing cucumbers suggest that the soil beneath them must be loose, fluffy, moist and free from weed plants. It is very beneficial for the crop to be introduced into the soil of peat bog compost, manure or decomposed urban debris.

Seeds are recommended for hardening before planting. This procedure is as follows: the seeds are soaked in water at room temperature for 7 hours, then the water merges, the seeds are wrapped in a wet napkin and placed in the refrigerator for 17 hours, then brought into the room for 7 hours and then back to the refrigerator for 17 hours. The procedure of hardening is recommended to spend 6-7 days, all the time wetting a napkin and only after that the seeds are planted in the ground.

Very popular in recent years has been seed coating - this is when they are first moistened with dilute glue, and then cover with a layer of a mixture of peat dust with humus, mineral fertilizers, growth stimulants and insecticidal fungicides. Such a procedure contributes to the fact that shoots are provided with the necessary nutrition and, at the same time, already at the initial stage, are protected from pests and diseases. When seeded seeds are seeded, the shoots are uncontracted and uniform, the similarity is increased by 20-40%, the growth of young roots and growths is enhanced, moreover, such seeds are not stitched by birds.

The main task in the agricultural technology of this vegetable, whatever methods of cultivation of cucumbers are not used, is the reception of amicable shoots. Therefore, the seeds should be laid in a moist, well-warmed, loose soil and close to a depth of about 3-4 cm.

Seeds of cucumbers can be sown on the ridges and on a flat site in a square nest way. In this case, the plot is marked in two directions, every 70 cm, in the corners of the formed squares make holes 10-12 cm in size and spread in them a scatter of 12-15 pieces of seeds.

It should be remembered that cucumbers, the cultivation of which is a matter of laborious, but fascinating and grateful, absolutely can not tolerate blackout, so timely weeding and thinning of sprouts are very important. Thinning should be done in the phase of 3-4 leaves.

Among all vegetables, cucumbers are the most demanding for water and air, they should be grown at a soil moisture content of 65-75%, because excessive moisture is harmful to them. The most frequently shown plants are refreshing frequent watering in small portions, especially during fruiting.

Harvest of fruits should be collected every two or three days, tearing down absolutely everything: both hooks, and missed overgrown.
