The plant is harmoniously intertwined in the design of garden beds: it is low (up to 25 cm) and will successfully look on the Alpine hills or as a curb along the sides of the garden paths. The flowers of crocus also look wonderful in planting . Growing and caring for them are very simple, because the plants are very unpretentious. Flowers are not demanding on the composition of the soil, but it is better if it is neutral, loose. If it is poor, it is recommended to add rotted manure, and sand should be added to clay soil.

For the landing is suitable for either the beginning of September or August. Initially, you need to select the planting material. When buying bulbs, pay attention to their integrity, no damage. It is desirable that they are not sprouted. The best and most healthy of them develop best. To properly develop crocus flowers, the care of which is fairly simple, they are planted at different depths, depending on the size of the bulb. The smallest of them are buried in the ground at a distance of 5-7 cm, and large - from 10 to 12 cm between them should be a distance of at least 4 cm.

The area for flowers should be chosen sunny, but in a small shadow they will develop successfully. Crocuses, growing and caring for which assume sufficient watering, do not like, however, stagnant water. In winter, the flowers tolerate the cold quite well, but experienced gardeners are advised to cover them with foliage or grass. Then the best of them are dried and stored in a dry and warm place before planting.
