Multicolored roses

Rose is mentioned in the history of ancient Persia. The Persians created about her a very beautiful legend about the nightingale, which spikes the spikes of a red flower. And since this proud plant is revered as a symbol of love.

However, roses are not only red. For a long period of existence on the planet of these flowers, which, according to scientists, is 30 or more million years old, as a result of selection, a huge number of forms, colors and shades have been created.

A lot of effort was spent on obtaining a black rose, and since black lobes could not be obtained, the scientists reached such a depth of burgundy color that it practically does not differ from it.

Not submitting to botanists and a blue tint, but already in 2009, Japanese roses of ash-blue shade appeared on the market. But since this genetically modified plant had rather high prices, they are not very popular despite the forecasts.

However, the most important place in this list of exotics is occupied by multi-colored roses, representing the entire palette of the rainbow, flowing over the components in the buds of these flowers.

This effect is achieved by implantation into the stem during the growth of the paint.

The idea of creating such exotic flowers as multicolored roses has long been among plant breeders, but only Van de Werken, a Dutch by origin, owner of a small flower shop, managed to achieve its realization.

Only he, through painstaking labor, by the process of injecting paint, was able to get the desired color combination.

The idea of the opportunity to sell colorful roses was born out of a desire to somehow stand out in the already crowded flower market. Bouquet of them is more like a box of colored candy or felt-tip pens, rather than what we are accustomed to seeing or receiving as a gift.

Multicolored roses are obtained as a result of absorbing the dye into the petals, which is the result of the injection. And although at first glance this process may seem simple, however, it requires compliance with many technological processes and preliminary preparation of the plant.

Initially, the Dutchman tried to simply spray, but when he did not succeed, he found a more optimal method, in which he still managed to bring out the multicolored roses.

And today he positions his novelty rather as an original gift or element for decorating a decor, rather than the usual flower that is presented in a bouquet.

People perceive these flowers in different ways with colors unusual for their eyes: one they like, while others, on the contrary, do not accept them categorically, however, Van de Werken himself believes that his creation contributes to the mood. That is why the colorful roses he called Happy Flowers - flowers of happiness.

Today, such a multi-colored rose can be grown with your own hands and at home. To do this, you need to take a white flower, place in a vase, where you need to add a little food coloring, which should only color the water. To accelerate the process of staining, the ends of roses need to be cut.

Already the next day the first results will be noticeable: the petals will gradually change their shade.

To obtain large shades, many amateur breeders cut the tip of the trunk along into several parts, and then each part is placed in a separate, differently colored vessel. This is how the rainbow effect is achieved.

Today in flower shops you can find purple carnations, blue chrysanthemums, blue dahlias - flowers, in the genotype of which there are no such colors. All of them are obtained by artificial coloring, thanks to the technology of gradual replacement of color in the process of growth.

However, you can get blue flowers even after cutting them, much faster. For this, at home, you can put the plant on a sponge soaked with paint, the flower absorbs the color, gradually changing its color.
