Crimson tree - high yield and unpretentiousness

Raspberry is one of the fastest-growing and yielding berry crops. Today, experts have produced many different varieties of shrubs, allowing to harvest almost all year round.

A raspberry tree of Taurus variety is the most common. It is distinguished by its large-fruited and stamping type of shoots. The sprouts have increased stiffness and are strongly thickened, so the shrub looks like a tree in appearance. It's not for nothing that this sort is called "raspberry tree".

The plant reaches a height of two meters, the bushes are not branched and linked together. The shoots of the crimson tree at the time of flowering have a bright green color, and during the rest period they are brown. The leaves on the tops of the bush are pubescent, covered with felt, have the shape of a rosette. A healthy raspberry tree is covered with saturated dark green leaves with uneven edges and a corrugated surface.

Due to the fact that fruit branches are located close to each other, the effect of the crown is created, which borders the ordinary trees. On each branch of medium length, which has 2-3 branches, more than 20 berries grow.

The main advantage of a crimson tree is its unpretentiousness to planting. Due to the fact that the Tarusa variety is stamping, plants can be planted without the use of stakes and tapestries. Of course, if desired, bushes are planted and using a support.

New varieties of raspberries have few seeds. Berries of plants are large, some specimens reach 12 grams of weight. Raspberry fruit is delicious, it has a pleasant aroma and juiciness, externally acquire an oblong beautiful shape. During flowering the crimson tree pleases the eye with a bright red saturated color.

It's nice that you do not have to apply special efforts to harvest berries. Fortunately they grow at a level of one meter from the ground. From solid raspberry fruit you can make various homemade preparations: jams, compotes, jams, and also simply to freeze.

After fruiting, experienced gardeners recommend pinching the tops of young shoots, thereby inducing lateral sleeping processes to grow.

The variety of Taurus is very popular with gardeners because of its excellent fruiting. It turns out that from one bush of raspberries you can get more than 3.5 kg of harvest. And if the plant is intensively fertilized and given him more attention, then productivity can increase. Even diseased trees continue to yield crops, although plant shoots have high resistance to pests and diseases.

For good growth of crimson tree, care of the bush and the soil on which the shoots grow are of great importance. Shrub should be timely watered, fertilized and sprayed with special compounds against pests. In the soil it is necessary to make manure, having along a row a meter strip, or urea (100 g per running meter). Mineral fertilizers should be optimally applied in the middle of October, they should be evenly spread and covered with rakes.

Due to frost resistance and high yield, crimson tree is widely used in the central regions of the country. The plant is able to withstand thirty-degree frosts, at lower temperatures, shoots should be sheltered or hidden under snow cover. In northern regions of Russia, with harsh winters and horticulturists, it is necessary to prepare trees beforehand and to bend the shoots in early October, until they break down and bend well enough.

In spring, after bending off shoots, no more than 7 sprouts should be left on each bush. In the raspberry line, bushes should be planted at a distance of 70 cm from each other. With this arrangement, plants are practically not diseased, and sweet and juicy berries do not rot.
