There are cases when the grass is deliberately set on fire to cause a grassroots fire and to obtain permission for sanitary logging where it is not lawful to cut it. In some farms, stubble is burned especially, arguing that the soil is fertilized and heated, the seeds of weed plants are destroyed and easier to plow. Sometimes grass is burned in pastures, mistakenly believing that the growth of new grass is thus stimulated. Some people, setting fire to the grass, fight such a barbarous way with mites and tick-borne encephalitis.

Burn garbage, including grass, in settlements is prohibited, you can burn only in specially designated areas under the supervision of special services. But people, despite the prohibitions, having collected last year's grass on their plot, burn it. Why do we burn grass in the vegetable gardens in the spring? Some burn the grass for cleaning, others argue that it is necessary to do this, as pest larvae and diseased plants are destroyed, as well as burning grass around the house, exclude the possibility of a fire, and still others do not even know why the grass is burning in spring - everyone does it and I do like this.

However, it is not only not necessary to do this, but it is also dangerous, since terrible fires can occur, capable of destroying whole villages. Forest fires are a real disaster and bring both economic and environmental losses. In fires, beasts and birds are destroyed, the growth of stands decreases, shrinking trees become breeding grounds for pests and all kinds of forest diseases. The amount of oxygen and phytoncids that are released by the forest decreases, that is, there is a qualitative deterioration in the state of the forest, which makes it unfit for recreational purposes. Peat fires may occur, which sometimes burn for several months in a row.

The ecosystem is destroyed, as nature has its own laws, which can not be violated.

At a time when some gardeners and truck farmers are burning or harvesting grass in compost piles, others experimenting, use it when planting potatoes. There are several ways of planting potatoes with hay. Some lay a layer of dry grass on the bottom of the groove, the grass is thrown potatoes and thrown earth. Others do the opposite: first throw potatoes, and then grass and land. You can loosen the soil and spread a layer of grass without any grooves and holes right on the ground, put potatoes on top and just cover with grass, even without falling asleep on the ground. It is said that with this method of planting, the potatoes will not fall ill with scab, since they do not come into contact with the ground.

Last year's grass is by no means the evil from which you need to get rid by any means. On the contrary, if it is properly processed, it can bring tangible benefits to the site.
