Klavdia Polovikova is an actress of theater and cinema. The native of Little Russia (Russian Empire). Performed roles in such famous cinematographic projects as "War and Peace", "Idiot". The most famous for her was the role in the film "The Fate of a Drummer". The society is known as the mother of the actress Valentina Serova, the authoress of the writer Konstantin Simonov, who tragically passed away under obscure circumstances in the early winter of 1975. Claudia Polovikova died in Moscow in February 1979 at the age of 82 years. The first role in the cinema was played by her in 1933, the last in 1966. In 1954 she was awarded the title People's Artist of the RSFSR.

Biography

Klavdia Mikhailovna Polovikova was born on December 15, 1896 in Little Russia. The path to art began with admission to the School-Studio of the Maly Theater, from whose walls it was published in 1921. The next fourteen years of her life devoted to work in the same theater. In the mid-1930s she served in the Moscow Theater of the Revolution. Later she worked at the Kiev Lesya Ukrainka Theater and at the Leningrad Pushkin Theater. During the Second World War she served in the Leningrad City Council Theater (Moscow). The last place of her work was the Moscow Drama Theater. Klavdia Polovikova played in the theater and in the cinema of strong-willed, emotional, and strong natures, who, as people who knew the actress claimed, were close to her in spirit. From Vasily Polovikov - engineer-hydrologist, later repressed by the Soviet authorities, gave birth on February 10, 1919, daughter Valentina.

Later, she performed a role in the historical drama "Fire Waters" about 1919, when detachments of Belarusian peasants and workers are fighting with the White Poles. The picture was released in the autumn of 1939.

In 1942, the actress again turned to the work of Mark Twain, playing in the adventure drama "The Prince and the Pauper." This story, familiar to everyone today, tells how a young slum dweller and royalty person decide to swap places. No one will notice the substitutions, because these two are very, very similar to each other. The picture came out on screens in a very difficult time for the country - in January 1943, when every citizen of the USSR was working for the victory over fascism.

In 1946, the actress appeared in the film biography "Glinka", which tells about the times of writing the opera "Ivan Susanin", when the writer of the famous romance "I remember a wonderful moment" on the verses of A.S. Pushkin became friends with Anna Kern. In this picture the voice of the famous singer Sergei Lemeshev sounds. In the film nominated for the Venice Film Festival competition in 1947, Boris Chirkov and Vasily Merkuriev played the main roles.

In the spring of 1956, the spectator first saw the adventure drama "Fate of a Drummer" in which actress Polovikova played one of the secondary roles. This is a story about a young drummer and pioneer Sergei Batashov. The protagonist is left alone after his father, who worked as an engineer at a secret factory, loses important documents and is in prison. After that, some people come to the empty house of the Batashovs, who are represented to Sergei as a distant relative, but in reality they are spies and criminals. This "kin" for some reason can not wait to get acquainted with his father's colleagues. The pioneer does not immediately understand why these "relatives" need these meetings. At the heart of the picture is the work of Arkady Gaidar.

In 1958, Claudia Polovikova played a prominent role in the drama "The Idiot" directed by Ivan Pyriev. The audience is introduced to Prince Leo Nikolayevich Myshkin, who returns to Russia after a long treatment abroad and meets once in the Epanchins' house, with a very effective Nastasya Filippovna. This meeting for the main character becomes fateful. In the film based on the work of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the main roles were played by Yury Yakovlev and Yulia Borisova.

Role in the winning film

In 1965, Sergei Bondarchuk, the legendary film-epic War and Peace, began the triumphal march through the theaters, in which the actress performed the role of Princess Anna Drubetskaya. The film, which was spent 29 million dollars, won the Oscar as a "Best film in a foreign language."
