Cinema epic "Planet of the Apes". All parts in order

The trend of creating sequels after the successful box office collection of the original motion picture arose from the time of the first commercial film projects. Everyone wants to make money, but at first an unwritten rule was in force: each of the continuation pictures should have been no worse than the successful first. This rule can be easily applied to the epic "Planet of the Apes" (all parts will be listed in the order below), created based on the works of the writer-Frenchman Pierre Boole.

American franchise

This is a popular franchise made in America, which lasts a significant time period - 1960-2014. Before you try to analyze in a chronological order the movie "Planet of the Apes" (parts in order), it should be noted that it consists of an original picture, one remake, two teleadaptations, four sequels, not including books, comic books and video games.

The order of all parts

The first part of the "Planet of the Apes" was published in 1968. Its creator, the famous Oscar-winning director Franklin J. Schaffner, took the classic novel of the same name and shot a science fiction film. It turned out a masterpiece original, which gave rise to the whole franchise, but remains in it the most outstanding and interesting. In general, positive, but in moments a fairly fairy tale about an inverted, distorted world has become a worthy literary source of adaptation. Considering the franchise "Planet of the Apes" (all parts in order), it should be noted changes in the film adaptation of the source, touched the final. Wise screenwriters changed it so that they opened the path, allowing, if successful circumstances, to remove the sequel. So it happened.

Two years later, in 1970, the film "Under the Planet of the Apes" appeared on the screens. Mort Abrahams and Arthur P. Jacobs - producers of both films - have replaced the director and screenwriter. Now Ted Post and Paul Den took part in the shootings. The plot of the tape was not straightforward, it intersected several plot lines famously, and the viewer had the opportunity to learn more about the civilization of intellectually developed monkeys. But if the middle of the picture was quite rich and interesting, then the outset and the culmination frankly upset. However, analyzing the epic "Planet of the Apes" (all parts in order), to call this part of the worst would be unfair.

Annual tradition

After the frankly failed second part of the director Ted Post, it seemed that nothing more could be wedged into the cyclicality of the idea, however, changing the concept of the inverted universe, scriptwriter Paul Den wrote the script and in 1971 the light saw another film - "Escape from the Planet of the Apes". This picture supported a high level in terms of the plot, acting and an impressive climax. Despite the fact that the film is included in the cycle "Planets ...", there is no heavenly body as such, and the plot action unfolds in the twentieth century on Earth. This project breathes and lives metamorphosis.

Literally a year later, the movie "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972), directed by J. Lee Thompson, which is the most powerful of the series about the relationship between monkeys and humans, is released in the rental. He is very emotional and even tough, the battle scenes in him are extremely dramatic, the acting is on the level.

The cycle "Planet of the Apes" (all parts in order) completes the creation of J. Lee Thompson "The Battle for the Planet of the Apes". This part of all the pentalogy that originated in the sixties of the past century, demonstrates by its example a sad tendency - alas, but the more episodes, the worse each succeeds. And Thompson took a direct continuation of only his film, basically not touching the previous parts. The TV series "Farewell to the Planet of the Apes" (1974) also received no positive reviews from either film critics or viewers.

"Planet of the Apes", all parts in order in the 21st century

The first film of the franchise, filmed in the 21st century, is Tim Burton's "Planet of the Apes" (2001). The director in the film attempted to moderate his sarcasm and did not give vent to his violent visual fantasy. He proved to be more faithful to the literary source and produced a quality film project, which instantly became popular and in demand. And intellectually gifted spectators threw a couple of disturbing thoughts on meditation.

After 10 years, in 2011, the rental goes "Revolt of the Planet of the Apes" ("Planet of the Apes 2"). In Rupert Wyatt's painting, in the sixth spin-off of the cult film, the spectator is presented with the prehistory of what he has already seen. This is an alternative version of the movie of J. Lee Thompson in 1972, which is very elegant and witty combined with both original paintings.

Outcome and Prospects

Until now, the last published part is "Planet of the Apes: Revolution" (2014). "Planet of the Apes-3" is rather rethought and innovative, but almost unrelated to the novel by Bul. This sentimental, touching science fiction set foot on the path of confrontation and apocalypse. The main achievement of Matt Reeves was that, apart from the bewitching gloomy spectacle, the authors do not go through a primitive collision, burdened by the vices of mankind and good monkeys. The essence of the conflict is that any society becomes a chaos without a sane leader.

In the future, in 2017, another film is expected to be released: "The War of the Planet of the Apes", or (the second working title) "Planet of the Apes: Extermination." It is rumored that the screenwriter Mark Bomback works in a creative alliance with Matt Reeves, who shot the sequel.
