Celosia paniculate - garden decoration
The paniculose flora is represented by several subspecies, which differ from each other in the height of the plant. The tall ones have a height of 15-40 cm. They are grown as container and curb plants. High-altitude cesium is used as a cut plant (for making bouquets) and in mixborders. Their height is 50-90 cm. If the inflorescences of this plant are properly dried, they can be used for making dry bouquets. Previously, shoots and young leaves of silvery intact were used as a medicinal plant and used for cooking. In cultural gardening, one can also find a cinnamon-like (cephalic) kiss. This plant has lilac-pink elongated inflorescences.
The celosis, the photographs of which are presented in this article, reproduce remarkably in a seedling way, although some growers prefer to grow it by direct seeding the seeds into the open ground. This should be done on the surface of the soil in peat pots with a substrate, since this plant very badly tolerates the transplant. Boxes with crops are covered with film or glass. Soil must be watered and periodically ventilated. For a week, the first shoots germinate. With a strong thickening of the seedlings, they must be immediately thinned, as they quickly stretch and lie down. When these leaves (2-3) appear, the seedlings are dived. At the end of spring frosts (most often at the end of May), the whole body is planted on a permanent site according to the scheme of 15-25 cm. The tall specimens are placed at a greater distance from each other.
Seedlings of annual flowers of the kiss with an untouched root system perfectly acclimatize to a permanent place. Soils for this plant should be chosen fertile, saturated with humus, well drained. On poor lands, flatulence is less ornamental. To create spectacular compositions, she should carefully select partners in the flowerbed. For this, when sowing seeds, you should immediately separate the seedlings by types and colors. Celosia paniculate prefers lighted areas that are protected from strong winds. This plant is thermophilic and needs regular watering. On fertile soil this flower does not need additional fertilizing. A low-altitude celandine swell can be planted in containers on balconies.
