"Cardiomagnet": contraindications, indications, use

The drug "Cardiomagnol" refers to a group of pharmacological agents with a pronounced antiaggregant effect. It contains acetylsalicylic acid as an active ingredient. This substance has been used in clinical practice for more than 130 years and has proven effective. In connection with the increase in the number of cardiac and vascular pathologies in the overall morbidity and mortality, international organizations of cardiologists (the European Cardiac Society and the more conservative American Heart Association) recommend the use of acetylsalicylic acid cardioforms as effective preventive drugs.

The importance of their use is due to a significant decrease in the number of myocardial infarctions and the brain in the presence of atherosclerotic lesions of arterial vessels. Similarly, the use of "Cardiomagnola" with varicose leg disease is justified. This reduces the likelihood of thrombosis of the branches of the pulmonary artery and small pelvis. Therefore, any of the aspirin cardioforms has much more positive aspects of application than side effects.

System characteristic

The drug "Cardiomagnal" instruction on the use of contraindications lists as much as possible in detail. This is a modern and high-quality drug, really necessary in clinical practice. It is affordable and must be used continuously, if the patient's health allows it.

As active ingredient, acetylsalicylic acid is used. A strong antiaggregant effect preventing platelet aggregation and the onset of thrombus formation is an important mechanism in preventing acute coronary events. In this case, the drug "Cardiomagnesium" contraindications due to the use of enteric film membrane and the cytoprotector significantly changed in the direction of decrease in comparison with the earlier, gastric-soluble cardiac ACS.

Indications for use

In the drug "Cardiomagnesium" contraindications due to the enteric-soluble form are less significant, although this is not reflected in the number of indications. It, like gastrointestinal cardioforms, is used in the following clinical situations:

  • With acute myocardial infarction at the stage of elevation of the cardiographic segment ST and without it;
  • With unstable angina for emergency and long-term treatment;
  • With ischemic stroke in acute and subsequent periods, as well as for prolonged therapy;
  • With transient ischemic attacks for long-term treatment;
  • In the prevention of myocardial infarction, when the patient is worried about progressive angina pectoris;
  • In the prevention of ischemic stroke against the background of transient ischemic attacks;
  • With venous varicose disease of the pelvis and lower limbs;
  • At prophylaxis of thrombosis of shunts after CABG, BPSH;
  • In the presence of hypertension in patients with already high cardiovascular risk.

The last indication requires the appointment of the drug "Cardiomagnolo", the contraindications of which are less important than the therapeutic effects. Since in any of the clinical situations described above the drug is more useful than the potential or actual harm, it is considered relatively safe and is recommended in the presence of risks of developing a cerebral infarction, myocardium or pulmonary artery thrombosis and shunt vessels.

Contraindications

Despite the presence of a progressive intestinal-soluble form of the drug "Cardiomagnum", there are contraindications to the medication all the same. They cover conditions in which the use of acetylsalicylic acid is more harmful than practical benefit. In such clinical situations, "Cardiomagnolo" can be replaced by a class analogue - the Clopidogrel remedy. Contraindications are as follows:

  • Disorders of blood clotting (hemophilia, hemorrhagic diathesis, thrombopenia);
  • Organic diseases of the stomach (erosion, acute ulcers of the duodenum, acute ulcers of the stomach, any bleeding from the digestive tract);
  • Pregnancy in the first and third trimesters;
  • State of lactation;
  • Severe hepatic impairment with creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min;
  • Kidney failure (in this case for the drug "Cardiomagnolo" indications and contraindications are determined individually);
  • Allergic reactions to any salicylates;
  • Bronchial asthma in any clinical stage and degree of manifestation;
  • Treatment with methotrexate;
  • Age to 18 years.

Adverse and major combined effects

It is natural that virtually any drug has both therapeutic and side effects. This same characteristic is also applicable to the "Cardiomagnolo" tool. Contraindications, side effects and peculiarities of its use should become the determining criteria when prescribing the medicine to the patient. The most formidable negative effect is a disruption in the reproduction of cells of the gastric and intestinal epithelium with an increased risk of erosion of the mucous membranes and ulcers with subsequent bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract.

The likelihood of damage to the stomach and intestines increases with simultaneous use with the drug "Methotrexate" and other cytostatics. All other NSAIDs enhance the effects of the drug in question and are not recommended for joint use with it.

The drug "Cardiomagnolo", the use and contraindications of which are interrelated, can aggravate the violation of liver functions, if the patient uses alcohol during treatment. It is also possible to develop an allergy to salicylates. Frequent side effects are bronchospasm, increased bleeding, headache, insomnia. A rare manifestation can be called a noise in the ears, dizziness, drowsiness. The probability of poisoning by the drug is only in the case of a single intake of 60 or more tablets of 75 mg.

Dosage form

The drug "Cardiomagnolo" (contraindications and side effects are considered above) refers to modern conditionally safe drugs due to the presence of an enteric membrane. It is also present in most other similar medications, as this is a recognized pharmacological standard of a gastric-aggressive dosage form. The product is available in tablets made in the form of a heart.

Composition and dosage

The drug is available in two standard dosages of 75 and 150 mg. They are prescribed depending on the tolerability of the dose and the clinical condition. The most commonly used dose is 75 mg. It is recommended for one-time reception after dinner according to the indications described above.

The tablet contains acetylsalicylic acid 75 mg, magnesium hydroxide 15.2 mg. In addition, there are auxiliary substances in the composition: magnesium stearate - 150 μg, microcrystalline cellulose - 12.5 mg, corn starch - 9.5 mg, potato starch - 2.0 mg.

All important points concerning the administration of the drug "Cardiomagnolo" (contraindications, duration of admission, detection of side effects and control of them), should be consulted by the attending physician. The appointment of a dose and the control of therapy is handled by a cardiologist or therapist.

Reviews of specialists about the preparation

It is important to specify the totality of statistical data confirming the appropriateness of the drug. So, all cardioforms, including gastrointestinal, reduce mortality by 16% among patients with already high cardiovascular risk. Acetylsalicylic acid reduces the probability of thromboembolism of pulmonary arteries and ischemic stroke by a quarter.

Also, "Cardiomagnum" reduces the risk of clinically significant thrombosis of the pelvic and lower extremities by 29% in the presence of varicose veins. The most important is the proven reduction in the likelihood of myocardial infarction in the presence of any form of chronic cardiac ischemia. All these effects can increase the life expectancy of any patient who has a risk of developing a heart attack of the brain and heart. Also, 40% of the cardioforms of acetylsalicylic acid reduce the likelihood of thrombosis of the shunts for any revascularization operation.

Review characteristics of opinions of patients

Patients' feedback about the drug is often not indicative, because there is no quick way to determine the effectiveness of this medication. Therefore, the person to whom "Cardiomagnola" is appointed should rely on the doctor's recommendations. This is a conditionally safe drug, with the proper use of which side effects are minimized. Nevertheless, a cumulative analysis of patients' reviews proves that "Cardiomagnum" is much better tolerated than any of the gastrointestinal cardioforms.

Application Features

Considering the characterizing "Cardiomagnolo" reviews, contraindications and the breadth of the therapeutic effect, the doctor will recommend a dosage for treatment. More often, according to the recommendations of ESC 2014 and AHA 2014, a dose of 75 mg is applied. 150 mg of acetylsalicylic acid is recommended for patients with high weight and wide (extended stenoses) of the coronary arteries.

The drug should be used continuously and, if the clinical situation requires, be canceled gradually because of the probability of an acute thrombosis in the first ten days from refusing admission. According to the results of numerous studies of the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of acid, the most safe is considered to be reception after dinner about 1.5 hours before bedtime.
