Bmw Offers Parts M Performance Parts For 3- and 5-Series

BMW has cleared the parts catalog of M Performance Parts for the new 3- and 5-series, which the company reported on Friday. BMW showed a line of its diesel cars in January, but it is still unknown when they will appear in the salons of Russian dealers.

The German automaker offers its customers and BMW owners: chassis, brakes, aerodynamics elements and exhaust emission enhancements for the 3-series 2012 and 5-series 2011 model years.

Stand alone forged alloy 20-inch wheels for the BMW 3-series. Each disc reduces the unsprung weight by 1 kg. As BMW claims, this contributes to a better response to steering and handling characteristics. A similar set of discs is offered for the 5-series, both sets offered in a two-tone version (with gloss and without gloss) and the BMW M. logo.

BMW also offers something hidden under the discs, large Brembo brakes with colored calipers (brake clips). The kit consists of four-piston front and two-piston rear brakes with improved temperature characteristics due to ventilated rotors with transverse ventilation holes. The color scheme includes red, yellow and orange.

For fans of making individual touches in the design, BMW offers black gloss radiator grilles. On the grilles for the 3-series flaunts, white or black, the inscription M Performance sport on the vinyl film. Carbon bodies for rear-view mirrors are available for both the 5- and 3-series, while the carbon spoiler is available only to the owners of the BMW 5-Series.

Carbon motifs also apply to the M Performance equipment for personalizing the saloon, including the shift knob and interior trim elements. For fans of sports style, BMW also has a steering wheel from Alcantara with a flat bottom and a red strip indicating 12 hours.

In June, the catalog will be replenished with exhaust systems made of stainless steel for the 335i and 535i sedans. As expected, the two chromed tips for the exhaust pipe adorn the BMW M.

Of course, none of the proposed elements will significantly increase the performance of your car, and naturally, they will not even bring it close to the full status of the BMW M. However, they will allow owners of the 3- or 5-series to make their cars more impressive. The advantages here are that BMW owners can make easy tuning of their cars themselves or almost any workshop will do it, and as a result, a car close to the factory BMW M Performance will be produced.
