Biseptol: indications for use

- systemic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract such as diarrhea, paratyphoid, cholera, typhoid fever, bacterial dysentery, acute brucellosis, etc are treated with biseptol;

- use this tool in the treatment of infections of soft tissues and skin, including in pyoderma, furunculosis;

- Biseptol gives an effective result in such diseases as meningitis and cerebral head abscess, sinusitis and otitis media, pneumocystis and toxoplasmosis;

- this medicine also helps with acute brucellosis.

If the disease is caused by strains of Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella, doctors can also prescribe biseptol. Indications for use are different, because this drug is a very effective combination. Even surgical wounds, in which wound sepsis has begun, can be treated if biseptol is used with it.

In addition to trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, each tablet contains medicaments such as talc, aseptin M, potato starch, propylene glycol, magnesium stearate, aseptin P, polyvinyl alcohol. Biseptol is produced, the indications for use of which have already been listed above, in various dosage forms: tablet, ampoules, suspension, suspension, syrup. Most often, doctors attribute to adults "Biseptol 480" tablets. The instruction on the use of this medication says that there are contraindications for its use. These are blood diseases, pregnancy, sensitivity to the main active substances, breast-feeding.

The pharmaceutical industry and biseptol are available for children. The instruction contains information that the preparation "Biseptol 120" is necessary for children to give in different doses, depending on their age. So, for babies from one to two years per day you need no more than one hundred and twenty grams of Biseptolum 120. These are four tablets, they are divided into two doses and given after meals. In children older and other dosage: from four to fourteen - eight tablets a day. To treat adolescents from fifteen to eighteen, you can already use Biseptol 480, but also twice a day and after meals. This medication is not assigned only to newborns, as well as premature babies.

The high efficacy of Biseptol, the indication for which we have discussed above, is that it affects gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, inhibiting their growth. If you use this medicine according to the prescription of the doctor, then within two to four hours in the patient's body, the maximum concentration is reached, especially in the lungs and kidneys. And biseptol begins its therapeutic effect sixty minutes after the beginning of its reception, being kept in tissues and blood for up to twelve hours. This drug is given through the kidneys during the day in unmodified form. This is why biseptol is so valued in the treatment of diseases caused by bacterial infections in the genitourinary sphere.
