The Republic of Udmurtia is not known to everyone. But everyone knows who Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Buranovskie Grandmothers are. But what connects these two names with this locality? The answer is simple: it is the small homeland of a great composer and modern pop group. But not only is this such an amazing land. Sights of Udmurtia, its nature, cuisine, national traditions and the goods of folk decorative and applied art have recently attracted a great interest not only from the Russians themselves, but also from foreign tourists.

The majestic nature

Russia is simply replete with a luxurious, sometimes wild and unapproachable nature. And this is her greatness. Not the least place among all this splendor is the natural attractions of Udmurtia. One of these places is the Ust-Belsk park. It is located in the south-eastern part of the Republic at the point of merging the Kama and Belaya rivers. This reserve was developed in late summer 2001.

The total area of the park reaches 1770 hectares. Here there are rare species and breeds of animals and tree species that appear in the "Red Book" of Udmurtia and Russia. Also among the objects of this zone can be noted a variety of types of forests, reservoirs and a natural monument "Chaganda caves".

The natural sight of the Republic of Udmurtia is also called Nechekinsky National Park. Its area is 20 thousand hectares. The reserve also boasts an abundant plant and animal life. Of particular value is the right bank of the river Neckinki, where you can find old pine forests.

Here lived Tchaikovsky

Telling about the sights of Udmurtia and not mentioning the place where Peter Tchaikovsky was born and raised means forgetting the name of this world-famous composer. He was born in the city of Votkinsk, on the street of the Lord. In 1940, in a house in which a composer was born a hundred years ago, they opened a museum for the memory of this man. The two-story building shows things and the situation in which Petty's first childhood years passed. The building with the mezzanine, where the whole family of Tchaikovsky lived, was built in 1806. And opposite the house was located the Annunciation Cathedral, in which they baptized the future composer.

The museum has a huge hall, where classical music concerts, literary evenings and theatrical performances are regularly arranged. The Tchaikovsky House Museum is the visiting card of the Udmurt Republic.

Glazov

Sights of Udmurtia sometimes include whole cities. A vivid example of this is the city of Glazov, with the origin of the name of which is associated with a very entertaining story. When the Empress Catherine the Great considered the plan for the future settlement on the drawing, she mentioned that he reminds her of an all-seeing eye looking into the human heart. That's how it came about such an amazing name. Well, the sights of Glazov (Udmurtia) are inextricably linked with the history of the city.

The historical center of the village, from which seven streets are divided, is considered an official object, which is included in the list of attractions. On the street of Kirov is Glazovsky Museum of Local Lore. And not far from one of the office centers is an interesting monument to the janitor. Equally fascinating is the monument to Pavlik Morozov.

In it you can find a bath "in black", a crib, pagan sanctuary and barns.
