Gritsay Alexey Mikhailovich - the master of the brush. His hands were created real artistic masterpieces. Many people are interested in the fate of creative people. And this is justified, since when you learn about their life, you can feel the full force of their art.

Something from the biography

Gritsay Alexey Mikhailovich was born in 1914 in Petrograd (today - St. Petersburg). Received an art education in the All-Russian Academy of Arts. Predominantly painted landscapes, but this was not an ordinary painting. Gritsay worked in the traditions of the 19th century. Art critics and connoisseurs of art flattered about the artist's works, saying that in these pictures, nobility and simplicity are harmoniously combined. Gritsay never aspired to depict something that was not really, or draw too flashy pictures. On the contrary, he chose the most inconspicuous, simple natural corners and showed all the beauty of these places.

New style in the art world

Art at that time was distinguished by its monumentality and carefully thought out compositions. But thanks to Gritsay and his simple, simple pictures in the art of art, a new trend was formed. The painting "Snowdrops" serves as an example of such intimacy and simplicity of the landscape. But in the period of training the artist was prepared completely for other works - to the monumental, thorough, carefully thought out and built technically.

years of education

In 1932, Gritsay Alexei Mikhailovich entered the Art Academy. Before that, he received valuable instructions from the sculptor Bach R. The young artist himself did not believe that he could pass the entrance examination. But the sincerity, diligence and naivety that were traced in his work did not go unnoticed, and Gritsai was successfully admitted to the art school.

Alexey's teacher was VN Yakovlev. As a basis for training, Yakovlev took copies of old masters. Mostly these were complex academic drawings. For Gritsa it was an excellent school, but his lyrical talent still could not manifest to the fullest. Despite this, the art school has become a solid platform for further creative development of the artist.

The famous Soviet painter I. I. Brodsky became the next teacher of Gritsai. The diploma work of the beginning artist caused mixed opinions. This was a serious monumental picture, in which Gritsai Alexei Mikhailovich was to represent the delivery of the state document for land use. He coped with the task, but not entirely successfully. The picture itself, more precisely its main elements, did not work out very well, but the landscapes that were depicted on it deserved special attention. It was for them that the examining committee appreciated the artist's work.

The publication

In the mid 40-ies the artist first saw the artist. Prior to this, the artist Gritsai Alexei Mikhailovich fought in the forefront in the war years. When there was a free minute at the front, the artist drew pictures of military everyday life. Basically it was landscapes. Particular attention was deserved by the paintings "The Last Snow" and "Klyazma, Gray Day." After the war, Gritsai actively continued his artistic activities, which now acquired a poetic character. The works "Above the Volga", "In Overgrown Park", "Spring Day on the Oka", "May Evening" and many others written in the post-war period deserve special attention. These and other pictures are simply mesmerizing. The artist Gritsay Alexey Mikhailovich in his works skillfully combines simplicity and high elegance. Creative manner is expressed in creating a special mood, a kind of captivating, deep.

Fame brought to the author the paintings "Above the Volga" and "In the Zhiguli". These works fully reflected the talent of Gritsa as a master of the landscape. The style of the artist is somewhat reminiscent of the manner of Vasnetsov AP or Meshkov V.

New in creativity

But in 1954, slightly changed the manner of painting Gritsay Alexei Mikhailovich. His paintings acquire a completely different character. He writes more direct etudes, without concentrating on details. Landscapes turned out to be more blurred, but this gave them a special sophistication. The artist simply dissolved in nature, wrote for her own sake, and not for the sake of painting. He depicted the most secluded corners of nature, on which very few people paid attention. If we compare it to poetry, then it does not look like a solemn ode, but a lyric. A vivid example of this work is the painting "Snowdrops: Osinnik," written in 1957. This work won the bronze award at the International Exhibition in Brussels. Despite the lyrical mood, which imbued the whole picture, it also shows the academic training of the artist.

Chamber landscapes were the card of Gritsa throughout the whole creative work. The full-scale work gradually turned into a more generalized picture. This created a series of paintings "Spring", over which Gritsai Alexei Mikhailovich worked for two years. Funny brooks, the awakening of nature, flowering trees - the artist's favorite motifs. In his opinion, man and nature are linked together by strong bonds. This connection was reflected in the film "In the Evening". The author lovingly treated the animal world. "Fog, Calves" or "First Green." Herd "- a picture that vividly reflects the artist's quivering attitude towards animals.

Favorite spring

Alexey Gritsay likes to depict transitional stages. From the seasons it's spring, from the time of day - twilight. Autumn, winter, summer - without them also do not cost the artist's paintings. Particularly bright is the nature and all its changes in the series of paintings.

Color is the main criterion for Gritsa. This moment he pays special attention. Therefore, all his pictures are harmonious, easy and free. But behind such masterpieces is a difficult job. For example, writing a painting "The Time of Spring" lasted about 6 years. But she was rightly recognized as one of the most brilliant. There are few specifics in it, but the image of the spring nature in all its manifestations is fully revealed.

For many years the artist was faithful to his manner. In different periods of life, it could change a little, but the favorite theme of spring has always been a priority. The painting "Ice drift", written in 1985, is an example of the invariability of the artist's style.

Gritsay Alexey Mikhailovich (1914-1998) - an icon of the landscape and a master of spring. He was made by his works.
