Are there spots on the lungs? A few words about tuberculosis.

At the present stage, the annual "golden standard" for the diagnosis and prevention of chronic lung diseases is the passage by adults of fluorographic examinations. Due to such a simple procedure, strict monitoring and timely detection of pulmonary pathology takes place inside any developed state. Especially it concerns such terrible disease as tuberculosis.

Despite the successful and rapid development of modern medicine, tuberculosis infection is still one of the most common chronic diseases of the respiratory system. Koch's wand can affect any internal organ, although the preferred location for its localization is, after all, the pulmonary tissue. With a weakening of immunity, mycobacterium tuberculosis begins to multiply actively. This activity is easily detected using X-ray diagnostic methods. They with absolute reliability reveal spots on the lungs, which testify to the pathological process that has arisen in them. The more spots, the greater the percentage of lung tissue was affected by a specific infection, which includes tuberculosis. The spots on the lungs show the severity of the condition, are a sign of the disintegration of the lung tissue.

Spots on the lungs with tuberculosis can be single (infiltrative tuberculosis), and can be multiple (disseminated tuberculosis).

Tuberculosis of the lungs is considered a bright representative of a chronic, slow infectious disease, the causative agent of which is a very dangerous mycobacterium tuberculosis. It enters the human body mainly by airborne droplets. It is not necessary to be at the same time with a sick person, it is enough to read the book that he held in his hand, to use his utensils or to stand not far from the place where he recently spat.

In order for bacilli to actively breed, specific conditions are needed:

  • Decreased immunity,
  • Weakened body,
  • Frequent stressful situations in life,
  • Pregnancy,
  • Presence of other chronic diseases (gastric ulcer, systemic pathological conditions, diabetes mellitus).

After the initiation of pathological process by microbes in the organism, the manifestation of the disease in man does not appear immediately. He can walk for a long time, do the usual actions and do not know that he has already launched devastating mechanisms in his body.

Very often, everything is revealed when the citizen has undergone another commission, which must necessarily include fluorography of the thorax. On the finished image, the radiologist discovers spots on the lungs. In general, when the decoding of the X-ray of the lungs is done, the professionals light areas are called "blackouts", and dark ones are called "enlightenments". Therefore, for the majority of ordinary people, who absolutely do not understand anything in medical terminology, dark spots on the lungs will have a picture of light areas on the X-ray image.

For all those who have this chronic infection, the disease turns into a real tragedy. After all, they have to sacrifice their usual life for the sake of recovering. Treatment of tuberculosis at this stage is possible, but it is very expensive for patients, not materially, but emotional, personal. The accepted opinion in the society that only the lower social groups of people are sick with consumption is absolutely wrong. Everyone is affected by tuberculosis, from small to large. Therefore, one should never scoff or neglect those who have experienced this state. The disease is not chosen, it finds for itself victims.
