Apple jam with oranges: recipe for Christmas holidays

Apples are probably the most common fruit in our country. How many varieties and flavors there are - just do not find it: sweet and sour-sweet, soft and crunchy, juicy and not very big and small, green, yellow, red, colorful! Despite the fact that you can buy them everywhere, and the price is affordable, they do not cease to be loved among all other fruits from many of our compatriots. Of course, they are eaten not only in fresh form, but also harvested for winter in various ways. We propose to cook a delicacy, which was not tried by everyone. But this is a very fragrant, useful and tasty treat for tea. We will make apple jam with oranges. The recipe for this fruit billet is under the power to master everyone who has at least some elementary skills in the culinary business. The ingredients are all very affordable and inexpensive, are sold all year round.

So, how to make apple jam with oranges? For preparation we will need:

  • Apples - 1 kilogram, hard enough (not to boil too much), sweet or sour-sweet;
  • Oranges - 2 pieces, juicy, thin-skinned;
  • Sugar - 500 grams;
  • Water 100-125 grams;
  • Aromatic seasonings (cinnamon, cloves) - to taste.

How to start making apple jam with oranges? The recipe is divided into two stages: the preparation of orange syrup, the addition of apples and the final cooking.

First we need oranges. They need to be cut into circles, remove the seeds and peel. Fold in a saucepan, pour boiling water and boil, bringing to a boil, for a minute. Then add sugar and cook, stirring until it completely dissolves, and the syrup begins to thicken. Next come apples. They should be washed, dried, removed and cut into slices (if desired, can be peeled, but not necessarily).

The syrup should be removed from the fire and add apple slices to it. So they have to brew for 3-4 hours. Then we put the saucepan on a slow fire and cook until ready, gently stirring, so that the apples do not lose their shape. A few minutes before the end of cooking, add cinnamon and other selected spices. Ready-made apple jam with orange is still poured hot on cans (they need to be sterilized in advance) and close.

This fruit billet turns out to be very beautiful honey-golden color. A flavor of her what! Due to the combination of apples with cinnamon, the smell creates a very festive Christmas mood, so be sure to open the jar on the eve of Christmas.

How else, besides spices, you can vary apple jam with oranges?
