Plot

In appearance, a completely successful married couple, having lost a child, decides to adopt a Russian orphan staying in the orphanage. They are not confused by the fact that the girl wears vintage dresses and strange ornaments without taking off, black velvet ribbons on her wrists and neck. There was no particular suspicion that the little girl for her age perfectly performed Tchaikovsky's musical compositions on the piano. After all, the child is held emphatically modestly and decently, its gentility is standard. The youngest daughter, six-year-old deaf-mute Max, immediately becomes imbued with an attitude toward a new sister. But the eldest child, Daniel, on the contrary, rolls hysterical parents with the demand to return the adopted daughter to the orphanage, which is due to a pair of his entry into the rebellious period of puberty.

Further events taking place in the movie "The Child of Darkness", the actors who took part in the filming, called the main intrigue. At the beginning of the stay in the foster family, Esther only smiles and blinks innocently, but after ... Then she will take the cobblestone and with the pleasure and professionalism will finish the bird, shot by Daniel. And director Haume Collett-Serra was able to overcome the annoying and annoying looseness of his debut creation "House of Wax" in 2004 and this thriller really effective. The director gave preference to forcing horror, pushing aside the visual beauty. Only the culminating moment of the action bloomed with violent colors of the psychopathic thought of the author.
