In 2007, Andres Puustusmaa directed an exciting melodrama, in which famous Russian actors were invited. "Red Pearls of Love" is a story about a bright feeling, which, unfortunately, did not end with a happy ending.

The creators of the picture

Petersburger Konstantin Murzenko wrote the script for the film back in 1998. Known in narrow circles, the journalist and filmmaker hoped to receive money for his project, but the cards were confused by the defaulted default. At that time, without a livelihood, there were also directors, producers and actors.

"Red Pearls of Love" managed to be launched in production only in 2007 by the joint forces of three film companies: Russian "Filmocom", Ukrainian Aurora production and Estonian All film LTD.

In the director's chair sat the Estonian Andres Puustusmaa, who also shot the insurgent "White Sand", the thriller "Red Mercury" and the modern version of Ostrovsky's play "The Dowry".

For the camera stood Finn Timo Salminen, who worked on a number of European projects: we are talking about the drama "Hauha", the thriller "Rat-catcher" and the tragicomedy "Le Havre."

Shooting of the tape "Red Pearls of Love" was held in Kiev in order to save the budget. The title song for the film was the composition of the "Boombox" group called "Vakhtoryam".

Short story

When Maria came to conquer the capital, she thought that she would become a famous actress, she would live in luxury and prosperity, thanks to her talent and natural talent. But it turned out that there was no special talent, they were expelled from the institute, and the career did not work out. And now, almost ten years later, she lives in a rich apartment, she drives an expensive car. However, all this Masha received as the wife of a successful businessman.

Maria lives a life that from the outside seems all bright and happy. But inside, there is only emptiness. My husband never particularly worried about a woman. In the period of courtship, there was at least some visibility of romance, but eventually Fedor spent days disappeared at work. The couple do not have children, and all that Maria has left is to suffer from idleness.

In search of thrills, Masha first visits the shaman, and then waits, when the predicted dizzying love will happen to her. A great feeling soon came, only it did not become easier for anyone. That's the story told to the viewer within 90 minutes of the actors.

"Red Pearls of Love" did not pay back the budget of a half million dollars, but earned zealous fans in many CIS countries. At the box office, the picture collected only 300 thousand dollars.

Oksana Fandera is from Odessa. Her father was an actor, so, one might say, Oksana is a hereditary artist.

At the age of 15, Fandera moved with her mother to Moscow, graduated from GITIS a little later and married a famous actor, Filipp Yankovsky.

In 1989, Oksana starred in the movie "Stalingrad", along with such celebrities as Archil Gomiashvili, Mikhail Ulyanov, Sergei Nikonenko, Sergei Garmash, etc. In 1995, Fandera received a major role in the crime film "At the Corner of the Patriarchs" . Then somehow the popularity of the artist went down.

In the years 2005 and 2008, Fander was filmed in his films "State Councilor" and "Stone Head" Philip Jankowski. In the frame she shone along with Konstantin Khabensky, Oleg Menshikov, Nikita Mikhalkov and Nikolai Valuev. Also in the projects were involved Fedor Bondarchuk, Emilia Spivak, Mikhail Efremov and other actors.

"Red Pearls of Love" allowed the actress to confirm her role as an eccentric lady, which Oksana Fandera has been working on for many years. Her heroine Masha - passionate, determined and emotional. And, of course, the combination of such qualities can not but arouse sympathy.

By 2007, Evgeny Tsyganov was already a well-known actor. He managed to get the prize of the Kinotavr Film Festival for his role in the melodrama "Let's Make Love", to play the main role in the legendary project "Children of the Arbat", as well as in the popular youth film "Peter FM".

Subsequently, in the career of Tsyganov there were many more bright roles. In the drama "Brest Fortress" he appeared in the frame with Andrei Merzlikin and Pavel Derevyanko, playing Lieutenant Pochernikova. In the comedy "Inadequate People" Tsyganova got the role of a cynical psychologist. But most of all the audience remembered the role of Tsyganov in the drama of Valery Todorovsky "Thaw" - in this project the actor played cameraman Victor Khrustalev.

In the film "Red Pearls of Love" the actors Oksana Fandera and Igor Yatsko played the couple. In the final picture, Maria threw her wealthy husband, and he, in turn, swept his anger at the first prostitute who came by, for which he went to jail.

Igor Yatsko mostly plays in the theater. But in the movie, he also several times received a worthy role. In 2004, the artist, along with Anastasia Volochkova appeared in the series "Place in the Sun".

Also, Igor Yatsko can be seen in the films "PiramMMida", "White Guard" and "Antidur".

Other performers of roles

The actors of the film "The Red Pearl of Love" are Yuri Stepanov, Irina Rakhmanova and Natalya Surkova.

Yuri Stepanov, who starred in the biographical drama "Dostoevsky" and the melodrama "Morning", was given the role of a lime shaman, whose prediction came true in an absurd accident.

Natalia Surkova, who acted as the rich lover of Grigory, is known for the TV series "The Great", "The Long Way Home" and "Gregory R.".

Irina Rakhmanova - the star of the series "Viola Tarakanova" - this time appeared only in the episodic role of the concierge in a cheap hotel.
