There is a widespread opinion that a man is always polygamous. This, of course, is half-truth. There are naturally men who prefer to try everything and everything. Nevertheless, those who live happily for a whole century with only one have not lost their way. What are they, polygamous men? Why are they like that? Are there any such women?

Let's start, perhaps, with the definition of what "polygamous person" means. This is the one who prefers several spouses at the same time. In general, the term polygamy was coined to define such a concept as polygamy or polyandry. For women, there was even a separate definition - polyandry. That is, the state is married to several men at once.

Modern interpretation of marriage implies both formal marriage with a seal in the passport and a certificate, and a civil condition when people live together without formalizing their relations. A woman who lives with one man, but who regularly meets her intimate needs with another representative of the strong half of humanity, is also considered polygamous. Though to it also apply a little bit another - a rough and obscene expression.

A polygamous family is a family where there is one husband and several wives, or vice versa (but rarely). In Russia this concept has slightly changed. Polygamy is not one who lives and contains several women at once, leading with them farming, but one who meets his needs with different ladies. Often they know about the existence of each other, but do not resist this state of affairs. There are also variants, where one husband - for two families, in each of which his child grows. Is it possible to consider that this man is polygamous? This (like polygamy), although prohibited by law, has a place to be. Another thing is that not every man can afford to keep several families.

In the East, where polygamy is traditionally permitted and welcomed, polygamy is becoming obsolete. More and more common - monogamous marriages - in which several children grow up. And the richer the family, the less children are born in it. It is not very beneficial for men to have a few women, from each to raise children, to resolve family disputes between women. And to love everyone equally is impossible.

And yet, many still ask the notorious question: "And polygamy is like?" This is not polygamy, when a man repeatedly enters into a monogamous marriage. This is a situation when he has several spouses (cohabitants) at the same time. Women can be reconciled with this position is still possible, due to a more flexible psyche. Men do not. Their natural instinct - to be the only male of their lady - does not allow them to be the second or third, even if they are their beloved husband. Furthermore! Not everyone is able to forgive betrayal, not to mention being tolerant of the polygamousness of his chosen one. Often families do not even know about the existence of each other until a certain moment. Polygamous people are always ingenious in their desire to hide the true state of affairs. And yet there are still such romantics who believe that one can love one person all his life and be alone with him. As well as those who think that to live with several people at the same time - this is love.
