The device for preserving food in domestic conditions can also be made from a conventional 25-liter milk flask. The home autoclave, constructed from a can, requires some capacity upgrades:

  • Bottom reinforcement. To avoid buckling the bottom of the can with pressure, it is necessary to reinforce the bottom with a steel flat circle;
  • Clamping of the cylindrical part of the flask;
  • Reconstruction of the clamping device of the lid, since the standard fastening latch will not withstand pressure. In this regard, it is necessary to produce a high-strength clamping plate with six screws;
  • Installation of the necessary instrumentation (instrumentation): a thermometer, a valve for the pump, a pressure gauge, a safety valve for pressure relief.

The autoclave is homemade, made according to these recommendations is easy to manufacture. It is necessary only to have a Bulgarian and a drill at hand. The stainless housing material makes it possible to preserve certain products without the use of glass jars. In this way, canned food is prepared for animals using, for example, veal heads. In this case, the bones of the heads soften well.
