Zamiokulkas is a flower that was brought to Russia very recently. He appeared in the country in the 1990's and immediately became popular among fans of indoor plants. It's all about its impressive appearance and unpretentiousness. It can be grown both in living quarters and in the office, where the care of plants is not so thorough.

Zamiokulkas are flowers that bring wealth and luck to the house. This is evidenced by the teaching of feng shui. This plant comes from Mexico and is therefore light-loving. However, if you put it at some distance from the window, it will also feel pretty good. But you should know that with good lighting, the zamiokulkas grow much faster. It is undemanding and to the microclimate in the room itself - the dry air tolerates quite well.

If you want to grow this wonderful plant at home, you need to take into account the fact that zamiokulkas are flowers that do not tolerate water stagnation in the ground. In this case, their roots instantly rot. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to arrange drainage in the pot. Watering the flower is also necessary correctly. In the summer, it is worth doing more often, but taking a small amount of water. It is best to use soft and warm. In the winter, watering should be reduced. Humidify the soil under the plant only after drying the top layer.

Zamiokulkas are flowers that can grow well without using fertilizers. However, in order for the plant to look better and develop faster, it is worthwhile in the warm period to feed it with compositions for indoor flowers. It is best to take mixtures intended for cacti or succulents. Periodicity of fertilizer application - once every two weeks.

A young flower zamiokulkas, the care of which is also in the change of the pots that have become tight, is annually to be transferred to a larger capacity.
