If you want to know everything about beekeeping, you need to start, perhaps, with the history of its appearance. This craft originated in antiquity and began with the collection of honey of wild bees, which settled in hollows, crevices. The bee was a symbol of Lower Egypt in antiquity, and the medo-collections roamed the Nile River on rafts and boats, collecting honey. Then people still did not know how bees make honey. However, with this method of fence, insects perished, so gradually in the northern regions of the globe the gathering grew into beardedness. Its peculiarity was that bees lived in woods in artificial dwellings, and when collecting honey, part of the crop was left to the bee family. In the 10th-11th centuries, the first apiaries appeared in Russia, where first they put up non-collapsible beehives, which were later replaced with canopies.

Asked how bees make honey, scientists in a number of countries have recently made many interesting discoveries. First, it was found that there is a clear division of responsibilities within the hive. Here there is a queen, which lays eggs, bees-mistresses, who are courted by her, bee-consuls, bees-educators, guards, scouts and pickers.

Applying the most modern video equipment, specialists finally managed to fix how bees make honey. It all begins with the work of a bee-scout who flies around the plants, finds the honey-plants and collects the nectar in the proboscis. Upon returning to the hive, she distributes the sample brought "on trial" to the bee-gatherers. After that, the most interesting thing begins - bee dance. Shevel's belly and moving back and forth along the hive, the bee shows the sisters how to fly. Experiments have shown that at the same time information is transmitted not only about the direction, but also about the distance. At the end of the dance a lot of bees fly to the collection.

After sampling the nectar with proboscis, the bees enrich it with enzymes already on the way home, to the hive. Upon arrival, the bee is examined by the guard and let in, where nectar is transferred between the picker and the bee-receiver several times. This, in turn, enriches it with microelements and vitamins. Next, the future honey is laid in a cell and flaps the wings to evaporate the moisture for about 8-11 days. Then the cell is covered with a wax plug. In order to collect a kilogram of sweet delicacy, bees need to commit tens of thousands of departures. Now you know how bees make honey, and, perhaps, will treat with respect to these small toilers.

In different parts of the world, bees of different species make honey from the flowers of those plants that grow in their habitats. In Russia, distinguish acacia, linden, sunflower, buckwheat, forest and field honey.

And in folk medicine there is such a thing as pine honey. To prepare it on July 21, 22, July 23 pick pine cones, put them in a glass jar, pouring sand, and put on the window on the sunny side. September 21-23, the resulting sweet-resinous liquid is drained off. This "honey" is stored for a very long time, it is a source of vitamin C and can be used for a number of respiratory diseases.
