Wrong verbs of the German language and the features of their study

Wrong verbs of the German language - this is a very important topic. You can say that this part of the speech keeps the whole language. But first things first.

About irregular verbs

This part of speech is a paradigm of conjugation of a verb, deviated from ordinary forms, if to speak philological language. It should be noted that these are usually the most used verbs, which partially retained the remains of forms, long lost in the process of changing the language. Often such are auxiliary, for example, ligaments. Often, one can observe suppletivism, that is, a change in the word. And one more nuance: irregular verbs are familiar to a group of inflectional languages. These are Indo-European. But to people who speak agglutive (for example, in Mongolian, Turkic) languages, the concept of irregular verbs is unfamiliar. There are either very few of them, or they are not at all present in the language. But in each case, their nuances, and each of them is an integral part of the language.

Part of the Speech

In German, absolutely all verbs are divided into categories, there are two. Here the principle of formation of the basic form operates (translation: Grundformen). There are irregular verbs and regular. The second, unlike the first, form the forms rather unusually, in no way corresponding to the patterns. It must be said that the irregular irregular verbs of the German language do not belong to any peculiar subgroup of strong parts of speech. That's why they are separate from the rest of the group. In general, the verb is the center of any sentence, without which it will not be possible to correctly express one's thought. So for an ideal study of all the features of this part of the speech you need time, and if you want to know the material at a decent level, you need to give him enough attention.

Where to begin

It was said that in German there are several kinds of verbs. Accordingly, in order to begin the study of this section, you first need to familiarize yourself with the classification. There are strong, irregular and weak verbs. In German, temporary forms are formed according to strictly defined rules for this. In the case of the transformation of weak verbs, one must pay attention to the fact that they all change according to the same model. And it is interesting that most of the verbs of this language belong to the weak type. If we talk about a strong group, then there are certain signs. But the irregular verbs of the German language are in the minority. However, this does not mean that it is easier to learn them. On the contrary, the table of irregular verbs of the German language is learned by heart, and here some will have to be difficult, since it is necessary to teach each of the forms, which are only three. They are mandatory, because only with their help can the time be created, the future, the past, and also the present.

The basis

To make it easier to start, you should consider at least a basic list of irregular verbs of the German language. So, some of them change the root vowel when the conjugation occurs. And this is done according to the principle of strong verbs. These include the words kennen (translation: know), nennen (call), as well as brennen (burn). They are distinguished by a special sign - the suffix te. The point is that this part of the word means weak verbs. For these parts of speech there are three forms: the infinitive, the preteritum and the sacrament. And here's what the previously listed words look like:

  • Nennen - nannte - genannt.

It's difficult to associate one with another, and that's why you need to learn. Further:

  • Kennen - kannte - gekannt.

There is a similarity with the previous case, namely - in the endings. And, accordingly, you can think out the last word:

  • Brennen - brante - gebrant.

However, this principle can not be applied to all. Since in other words both consonants and vowels change, for example:

  • Denken - dachte - gedacht.

Features of the German language

Wrong verbs of the German language are its integral part. Learning them, a person learns the language better. Having mastered all forms, it is much easier to perceive speech. But the system of verbs in this Romano-Germanic language is much more complicated, unlike English. After all, in German there are separate forms of this part of speech on all persons. But the Russian person does not surprise with this. It is worth noting that most verbs, being in the first person, differ from the present tense by the absence of the last letter (n). It is replaced in the third person by t, and in the second - by st. And there are a lot of such features. Therefore, when starting to study this language, you should be ready to learn a lot by heart. Otherwise, you can not learn it. An exception can be unless the case when a person finds himself in a language environment, ie, in Germany - there the language is learned by itself. And then, it is desirable to learn the rules, since literacy is always valued. Without a written speech, a person will not be able to fill out a form, indicate his phone number, reply in writing to questions, etc.
